Cello & Reiki Healing Workshop
At Yoga Mandali, this restorative workshop blends live cello with Reiki to invite deep rest, balance, and inner alignment. Sound practitioner and cellist Demetria partners with Reiki Master Ewa to create a calm, meditative environment where the warm resonance of the cello and the shimmering tones of Tibetan singing bowls support the easing of physical and emotional strain. Reiki is offered alongside the soundscape to encourage a steady flow of energy, helping cultivate balance, renewal, and a sense of peace. The experience welcomes anyone seeking relaxation, emotional harmony, or an introduction to holistic healing practices. No previous background in Reiki or sound work is needed. Ewa is a devoted yoga teacher and Reiki Master whose practice grew from using yoga to complement rigorous workouts into a pathway of self-discovery and energy work. She completed a 200-hour teacher training in New York City and an additional 300-hour training in Bhakti Yoga. With a compassionate approach, she fosters spaces that support balance, resilience, and inner harmony through Reiki and mindful guidance. Demetria Koninis is a sound practitioner who brings the therapeutic voice of the cello to group and individual sessions. Her connection to the instrument began in fourth grade and continued through a bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Syracuse University and more than 15 years in healthcare, where she first introduced sound healing as a recreation therapist. A 2019 retreat in Costa Rica further deepened her work with vibration and energy. She is a Level 2 Reiki practitioner through the Reiki Alliance, trained in Energy Medicine, and certified in Tibetan singing bowl healing. In her sessions, she integrates these modalities with the cello’s rich frequencies to support deep relaxation, emotional release, cellular healing, and alignment. She also teaches the Suzuki Method at her home-based cello school. Cost is $65 per person.
