Cosmetic Chemistry Lab - Modern Hippie Cream Cleanser

Explore how professional skincare is made in a friendly, hands-on lab that puts you in the cosmetic chemist’s seat. With cosmetic chemist and Acta Beauty founder Jillian Ehrenberg guiding the process, you will create a small batch serum or cream using professional mixing equipment and watch an emulsion take shape as raw ingredients become a finished formula. Learn how formulas are developed, why certain ingredients are chosen, and how thoughtful formulation influences both performance and texture. The session ends with bottling the product, and you will head home with a full-size bottle for your routine. Lab coats are provided in sizes S through 3XL. Beverages are available, including wine and a non-alcoholic option. Enjoy a 10% shopping discount at Petal + Hive during the event, and take time to connect with other participants and make new friends.

Groups & Meetups

TRIVIA at The Parting Glass Pub!

Participants face seven rounds that blend knowledge and fun. Categories include general knowledge, picture clues, a weekly themed miscellaneous round, a music challenge with a karaoke twist, history and geography, and entertainment. The competition culminates in a timed final question with multiple answers that can swing the standings. Players can compete solo or form teams, with larger groups pooling more minds to crack tough questions. Top teams receive prizes, often gift cards, drinks, or distributor swag, with occasional surprises.

School Year Youth Dance Program

A welcoming school-year youth dance program invites children to grow through movement, build confidence, and develop discipline while having fun. Classes range from first steps in Baby Ballet to energetic Hip Hop and focused DanceSport training, so dancers can explore for enjoyment or prepare for competition in a supportive setting guided by experienced instructors. DanceSport blends ballroom technique with athleticism and artistry, helping participants improve posture, coordination, and self-discipline, express themselves with confidence, set goals and take responsibility, work well with others, and channel their energy in a positive way. Families value the nurturing teachers, small class sizes that allow personal attention, and a curriculum that balances tradition with fresh ideas. With an emphasis on character as well as choreography and opportunities to perform and compete at regional and national events, this is known as the Capital Region’s most comprehensive and longest running DanceSport program.
