A five-day circus camp designed for ages 7 to 13 invites young participants to explore movement, creativity, and wellness. Each day blends circus disciplines with yoga and fitness, featuring aerial yoga, aerial silks, lyra, silk hammock work, and mat-based yoga in a variety of styles. Campers also try trampoline skills, hula hooping, clowning and juggling, tight rope walking, and a bit of circus magic. Two craft projects are included during the week, and an hour is set aside each day for time at the park. Wellness activities introduce healthy cooking and snacks, meditation with singing bowls, and essential oils. The experience is built to boost confidence, encourage teamwork, inspire a lasting love of physical activity, help children make friends, and offer challenges for both body and mind. Families are invited to a student showcase at the end of the session so campers can share what they have learned. Campers bring their own lunch. The full week costs $400, with a 10 percent discount for siblings, and an early bird rate of $380.

Kids ages 8 to 14 can explore favorite foods in a hands-on cooking camp that blends creativity with practical kitchen experience in a friendly, safe setting. Participants may attend a single day or the full five-day series, with themes that include Italian-inspired dishes, bagels and donuts, a summer cookout, a sushi and ramen workshop, and a wrap and roll cooking tour. Expect plenty of stirring, chopping, mixing, and baking, followed by enjoying the results and making new friends.

Tara’s Witchy School for Teens & Tweens is a week-long day program for ages 10 to 14 that blends nature-centered learning with a playful, grounded coming-of-age experience in an urban setting. Participants learn to slow down, notice what is around them, and grow in self-awareness through hands-on projects, reflection, and creative practice. The witchy theme focuses on attuning to the rhythms of the natural world, drawing lessons from plants and herbs, and exploring imagination, dreams, and inner guidance. Each day emphasizes intention and the wonder found in ordinary moments, encouraging curiosity, creative expression, and care.

This lunchtime series brings free, public concerts by local musicians to Tricentennial Park in downtown Albany. Performers include Joanne's Driving the Bus, the Jillian Smith Trio, musicians with Albany Symphony, the Bronte Roman Quartet, the Downtown Classical Trio, The MacS Trio, and Michael T & Wee B3. The concerts are supported by a grant from the Music Performance Trust Fund and are organized by the Albany Musician's Association, Local 14 of the American Federation of Musicians.

Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets for a screening of the classic film Notorious on the historic New York State Capitol grounds.

Enjoy a free screening of The Lego Movie, the 2014 release rated PG with a runtime of 1 hour and 40 minutes. Doors open beforehand for activities, followed by the movie. Children 12 and under get complimentary popcorn. The story centers on an ordinary LEGO construction worker who is mistaken for the Special and recruited to help stop a tyrant from gluing the LEGO universe into permanent stasis. Lucid Street brings a wide-ranging live set to The Crossings of Colonie, performing rock, pop, disco, metal, and grunge along with some original songs. This appearance marks the band’s first time at the venue and is part of the Thursday Night Concert Series. Bard & Baker hosts a tea party led by cosplayer Salith that celebrates the world of magical girls. All Magical Girls and Boys are welcome. Dressing in cosplay is encouraged but optional. Expect décor and themed menu offerings inspired by Sailor Moon, plus a mix of creative activities that include coloring, word searches, puzzles, crafting wands, and making bracelets. Each ticket covers the materials needed for the activities and includes entry into a raffle for a chance to win themed prizes. Food and beverages are not included with the ticket, and both a special menu and the regular menu will be available.
