More than 70 local farmers, producers, and artisans take part, offering fresh ingredients and handcrafted goods for anything from a full grocery run to a leisurely stroll through the market. The market accepts SNAP and the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program to help keep local, sustainable food accessible across Northeast Ohio. To support all shoppers, there is a dog-free period at the start, followed later by a pet-friendly window for well-socialized dogs on a sturdy leash. An open-air yoga session with instructor Jen Garlando takes place at the festival stage in Firestone Park. Participants are welcome to bring a mat or a blanket. Registration is free. This class is part of the Yoga in the Park series connected with the Heinz Poll Summer Dance Festival, a community program that honors the legacy of Heinz Poll, founding artistic director of Ohio Ballet, and features free public performances by acclaimed regional and national dance companies in Akron parks. The Annual Awareness Run departs from Todd’s Fire & Ice and follows a route with stops at The Foundry and Whiskey Stop Bar & Grill, then returns to the starting point. Activities include a 50/50, raffle baskets, specials on food and drinks, and event merchandise available to purchase. There is no cost to register. Proceeds support Bikers Unbroken and its mission to protect and empower children while providing community education on child abuse and outreach. Akron Pickle Fest returns to Lock 3 park and the surrounding downtown area with a full day devoted to all things briny. Food trucks serve pickle-inspired treats while Odd Mall vendors offer crafty, pickle-themed goods and more. Live music sets the tone and the Akron Pickle-lympics adds friendly competition. Participants can create a jar of pickles to take home and stroll the Pickle Path to sample varieties that support charity. It is a family-friendly celebration of pickles with free admission and free parking.

Back at the Keyser Barn, the City of Cuyahoga Falls Summer Concert Series offers a free outdoor show with a mix of musical styles.
