April Community Dinner

A neighborhood community dinner, organized with building neighbors at MEAC, returns to the Madisonville area with a focus on connection. The gathering works to dissolve the usual divide between those preparing the food and those enjoying it, encouraging everyone to share the same table. Guided by a New Testament vision of a diverse community coming together across race, gender, class, and background, it welcomes both volunteers and diners to participate side by side. Attendees may help with meal preparation and room setup, or simply share a meal with friends and neighbors.

Workshops & Classes

General Tso's Chicken

Discover how to create General Tso’s chicken at home, from mixing a flavorful sauce to frying crisp, tender bites. You will also craft vegetable egg rolls as a savory starter and serve everything with steamed rice. The menu is planned to feature these dishes, though it may change. Guided by professional chefs, this fully hands-on class includes two drinks per person from the bar, with rotating options such as wines from small producers, local craft beer, and seasonal cocktails. Additional beverages are available for purchase. Participants receive a booklet of recipes and enjoy the dishes prepared during class, with any leftovers available to take home. Dairy free attendees can be accommodated with advance notice. Because ingredients are prepared for each station, any allergies or dietary needs require notice beforehand. For restrictions not covered here, reach out before registering since accommodations may not always be possible.
