Discover the sweet spot between effort and ease in a flow that pairs mindful movement with deep rest. The session opens with vinyasa that synchronizes breath and motion, using purposeful sequences to cultivate strength and presence. It then shifts into yin and restorative work, settling into floor postures for about three to five minutes each to reach the fascia and connective tissues of the lower body. The blend satisfies the desire to move while also creating space for stillness and recovery, and it wraps up with a grounded, renewed feeling. Guided by Christy Read. This approach supports whole-body balance beyond just the muscles, helps train the nervous system to ease from a sympathetic state toward parasympathetic rest and digest, and brings energetic harmony by balancing yang and yin qualities such as active and passive, movement and stillness, sun and moon, warm and cool.

Sound Healing Sundays (first and third)

World Peace Yoga, 268 Ludlow Avenue, Cincinnati · verified Oct 9
    See details

Settle into a quiet sonic immersion led by Jenna Morgan, featuring the resonant tones of crystal singing bowls. The session opens with a brief guided meditation and gentle breathwork to help you arrive, then shifts into a fully restful practice where you recline on a mat with bolsters and blankets for complete support. For 30 to 45 minutes, layered harmonics fill the room, inviting the nervous system to unwind and the mind to ease into a calm, meditative state that supports clarity and whole-body renewal. As the vibrations move through, you may notice a subtle inner hum or a dreamlike sense of spaciousness while tension and stagnant energy melt away. Many participants leave feeling lighter, grounded, and deeply refreshed. To prepare, wear comfortable layers and consider warm socks, since body temperature can drop during deep relaxation. Mats, blankets, and bolsters are available, and you are welcome to bring a pillow, eye mask, or a favorite blanket to make your resting space extra cozy. Jenna is a sound healer and yogi who blends crystal bowl vibrations with her voice to craft intentional soundscapes that encourage stillness, surrender, and self-discovery. Guided by the idea that love is a powerful healing frequency, her approach invites a softening of the heart, a remembrance of innate wholeness, and a deep reconnection with inner harmony. She is also in the process of completing her World Peace Yoga Teacher Certification.

Eggs Benedict Brunch - Cooking Class

Tablespoon Cooking Co., 1731 Elm St, Cincinnati · verified Oct 11
    See details

Enjoy a hands-on brunch cooking class that pairs learning with a relaxed sip of mimosas. The focus is a classic Eggs Benedict built on homemade English muffins with Canadian bacon, poached eggs, and hollandaise, served with breakfast potatoes and lightly dressed greens. Two beverages per guest are included from the full bar, featuring a rotating selection of wines from small producers, local craft beer, and seasonal cocktails and mocktails, and more drinks can be purchased. Participants cook their own meal from start to finish rather than watching a demonstration. On arrival, a drink is offered in the dining room, then each person heads to an assigned station where a chef instructor guides the menu step by step. After cooking, the group returns to the dining room to enjoy what they made, and any leftovers are packaged to take home. Techniques covered include whisking a hollandaise from scratch with tips for a perfect emulsion and an introduction to this classic mother sauce, frying homemade English muffins, poaching eggs to perfection, dressing greens, and tasting, seasoning, and balancing flavors. Included in the experience are guided instruction, all ingredients and equipment, a printed recipe booklet so the dishes can be recreated later, a full meal plus any leftovers, and cleanup handled so the focus stays on cooking and having fun. The menu can be made vegetarian. Because ingredients are prepared for each station, advance notice is needed for allergies or other dietary requirements, which should be noted at registration or communicated by email. For needs not addressed here, reach out before registering since accommodation may not be possible.
