It then shifts into yin and restorative work, settling into floor postures for about three to five minutes each to reach the fascia and connective tissues of the lower body. The blend satisfies the desire to move while also creating space for stillness and recovery, and it wraps up with a grounded, renewed feeling. Guided by Christy Read. This approach supports whole-body balance beyond just the muscles, helps train the nervous system to ease from a sympathetic state toward parasympathetic rest and digest, and brings energetic harmony by balancing yang and yin qualities such as active and passive, movement and stillness, sun and moon, warm and cool.
