    Sensory Sunday

Youngstown · The Butler Institute of American Art, 524 Wick Ave

Sensory Sunday at the Butler offers a calm, low-stimulation hour for neurodivergent visitors, including people on the autism spectrum and anyone who benefits from a quieter, less busy atmosphere. The museum opens one hour earlier than usual so guests can explore art without bright lights or crowds. Supportive resources are available, including fidget tools, a sensory guide, and clear information about what to expect during a visit. This program occurs on the first Sunday of each month and will continue to evolve to meet community needs. There is no Sensory Sunday in December.
