Drive Out Hunger - Charity Golf Outing Supporting Last Mile Food Rescue

Beckett Ridge Golf Course, 5595 Beckett Ridge Blvd, West Chester · verified Aug 22
    See details

Drive Out Hunger is a charity golf outing at Beckett Ridge Golf Course, returning for a second year in support of Last Mile Food Rescue. Teams play in a shotgun start format, with a post round lunch and awards included. The outing features more than $1,000 in raffle items and hole challenge prizes, and team entry is $200. Proceeds benefit Last Mile Food Rescue, a nonprofit focused on ending food insecurity and waste by rescuing excess, desirable food for people who need it most. Founded in 2020 and supported by current and former corporate executives, the organization connects surplus food with agencies that can distribute it, operates the Last Mile Market to provide fresh, rescued food at no cost in communities with limited access to healthy options, and runs a repack initiative that turns large trays from sources like stadiums, hospitals, and school cafeterias into convenient grab and go portions in partnership with Easterseals Redwood. In 2025, the team served over 4 million meals, and the Market served more than 1,800 shoppers each month in Avondale, Price Hill, and the Villages of Roll Hill. Because many food insecure households face barriers to cooking, 175,479 pounds of prepared food were rescued and repackaged in 2025 to meet immediate needs.
