At Kean Elementary School, the Wayne County Heart Walk brings the community together to champion heart health and practical lifesaving skills. Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest is often deadly, with nine out of ten people not surviving when bystanders do not perform CPR. The walk highlights how small steps and simple training can make a profound difference. Participation and donations help expand CPR education, advance research, and create more lifesaving moments for people everywhere.

International vocalist, entertainer, producer, and musician Helen Welch returns to the Lyric Theatre in Wooster for an intimate concert that highlights her blend of wit, charm, and powerful vocals. She will be joined by Joe Leaman on piano, Bryan Thomas on upright bass, and Stephen Renko on drums, and together they move through a mix of popular songs, blues, jazz, Broadway selections, and original pieces. Renowned for her versatility and connection with audiences, Welch has performed at many of the nation’s leading venues, and she recently brought her acclaimed program Carpenters: The Songs, The Stories, The Carpenters to Cleveland’s Severance Hall. This is a rare, up-close evening of music with exceptional musicianship and limited seating.

An indie author and artisan festival at the historic Kister Watermill offers a chance to browse handmade goods, discover talented local artisans and indie authors, and enjoy the charm of the mill. Free samples of raw honey body lotion will be available.

The Wayne County Veterans Service Commission holds an in-person monthly meeting that welcomes public attendance.
