Toledo Takes on ALS
Now in its fourth year, Toledo Takes On ALS brings the community to Fifth Third Field for a summer tasting experience that supports ALS research. Attendees can sample from more than 30 craft breweries, cideries, and wineries, spanning local favorites and national brands, while taking part in raffles and silent auctions. Admission is $20 and includes one drink ticket and a souvenir tasting cup. Beer and cider are poured in 10 ounce servings, and wine is poured in 4 ounce servings. Additional tasting tickets are available for purchase on the main concourse. Hosted by the Schinharl, Katterheinrich, and Welling families and friends, the evening emphasizes connection, generosity, and hope, with all proceeds benefiting ALS research through the ALS Therapy Development Institute.
Fifth Third FieldIntermediate Line Dancing Class for ages 55+ - Margaret Hunt Senior Center, Toledo, Ohio
Enjoy a free intermediate line dancing session tailored for adults 55 and older at the Margaret Hunt Senior Center. It is designed for dancers who already have some experience and recognize the names of basic steps, so it is not a beginner class. Those new to line dancing can look for an Absolute Beginner option. Each session introduces a new routine and also revisits several learned in earlier weeks. The final portion of class is open dance time for extra practice. Instruction is led by Melanie Kempton of LinedUP Line Dancing. No advance sign-up is required. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes that pivot easily on the floor. Twilight Evenings at The Toledo Zoo offers extended evening access so you can linger longer among exhibits, enjoy attractions, and visit concessions and gift shops. The event is included with regular admission and is free for members.
