Rossford Balloon & Fireworks Festival

A full weekend of hot air balloons, live entertainment, and community fun awaits. A historical driving tour of Rossford runs throughout the festival. The celebration opens with a ceremony, then the grounds feature food trucks presented by Hollywood Casino, a beer garden, and a variety of vendor booths. Families can enjoy a kids activity area created by Hero’s Party Experience, and Bird’s Eye View Circus appears with support from Spitler, Huffman, LLP. Meet balloon pilots and collect trading cards thanks to Laramie & Sons. Scenic helicopter rides are available, including flights with Intrepid Helicopters. Balloon highlights include flights with a coordinated group liftoff, glowing balloons after dark, and the option to take tethered rides for $20 sponsored by Cutting Edge Countertops. Evenings bring a performance by Glovation Circus supported by Spitler, Huffman, LLP, live music from Amelia Airharts, Arctic Clam, Distant Cousinz, and North of Nashville, and a fireworks spectacular synchronized to music presented by the City of Rossford. Heritage Day adds a cultural focus with support from Medical Mutual and Paramount. Visitors will find ethnic food vendors and a craft marketplace, heritage displays and storytelling corners, and continued access to food trucks, vendors, and the beer garden. The Kolomeyka Dance Group performs, a showcase of automobiles spans the 1920s through the 2020s with sponsorship from Millbury Classic Cars & Trucks Museum, and the Great American Paint Off brings a live painting competition. Entertainment includes live music by Randy Krajewski & Badinov as well as Madison Avenue, a Native American music performance, and a portrayal of Thomas Jefferson by Jeremy Meier. Tethered balloon rides for $20 continue courtesy of Cutting Edge Countertops, followed by a mini balloon glow and a drone show. A rain date is reserved for a concluding fireworks display if earlier shows are postponed. Admission is free for all three days, with fees for food and drink, the kids area, and tethered balloon rides.

See the festival from above with brief helicopter rides offered by Intrepid Helicopters during the 2026 Rossford Balloons and Fireworks Fest in Rossford, Ohio. Flights last around five minutes and cost $60 per person, payable by cash or credit. Service is first come, first served, and an early signup discount of $10 per person is available. Each flight accommodates up to three passengers, and at least two passengers are required per departure. For safety and to meet aircraft limits, the maximum is 275 pounds per passenger and 600 pounds total for three passengers. If the combined weight is near the limit or an individual is over 200 pounds, a private weight check may be required. Children older than two are preferred, and all minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Rides were in high demand last year, with many people turned away, so early arrival is recommended.

St. George Orthodox Cathedral presents its Annual Summer Festival on the cathedral grounds, celebrating the only Middle Eastern church festival in the Toledo area. Admission is $5 per person, and children age 10 and under enter free. Live entertainment features local bands The Bridges, The Grape Smugglers, and After Shock with Nate Khoury and Dave Hairabedian, alongside Middle Eastern music and Arabic dancing throughout the festival. Food booths offer a mix of Middle Eastern and American dishes, with a refreshed menu of festival favorites and much-loved pastries, plus sandwiches, French fries, and Zalabee, also known as elephant ears. Adult beverages and soft drinks are available. Families will find a dedicated children’s area with kiddie carnival games, crafts, bouncy houses, sand art, and face painting. Adults can try games of chance with prizes that include a car, jewelry, and cash. Guided tours of the church run during festival hours, and the Very Reverend Archpriest Michael Shaheen will be on hand to answer questions. Church memorabilia and novelties will be for sale, and additional family friendly surprises round out the festivities.

At Copper Moon Studio, design a radiant sunburst in fused glass while learning how to cut your own sheet glass. Layer transparent and patterned pieces to create distinctive effects, and explore a bright celestial look with all materials provided. Sessions run about two and a half hours. Choose a finishing option of a display hook or a garden stake, and plan for a finished piece measuring approximately 8 by 8 inches. Hand strength and good dexterity are important for proper tool use. The workshop is beginner friendly and priced at $95, which includes instruction, supplies, and materials. Multiple sessions are offered. Please RSVP in advance. Ages 10 and up. An adult should accompany. Completed pieces will be ready for pickup in about seven days. Friday Night Magic Commander offers an evening of tabletop fun for Magic players. Entry is $5, and members get in free. Masters must provide a deck list, and the Pitch Black set is not legal for play. Wheelie Good Cause at Patron Saints

The final ride in a three-part Wheelie Good Cause series takes place at Patron Saints and offers an easy 10 mile route through West Toledo, welcoming most ability levels. This is a self-supported outing and portions of the route use open roads with automobile traffic, so participants are expected to follow all rules of the road. Bring a photo ID for ride check in. Mortuary Manor Public Investigation & Flashlight Tour

Mortuary Manor opens its doors for a public paranormal investigation inside a former funeral home in Toledo, Ohio, where layers of emotion and history mingle with reports of unexplained activity. Once known as Urbanski Funeral Home, the building still reflects its past, from former viewing rooms and preparation spaces to hushed corridors that draw investigators after dark. Attendees have reported shadowy movement along walls, abrupt shifts in temperature, footsteps echoing through otherwise empty hallways, and the uneasy feeling of being watched. As a newer site for the paranormal community, it presents a rare chance to examine a location that has seen little prior documentation. Options include a guided flashlight tour that shares the building’s background and notable experiences, a four hour public investigation that begins with a brief introduction and walkthrough before free roam exploration, and an eight hour overnight with extended time on site. The overnight session is limited to 20 participants to keep the setting calm and focused. No prior experience is required, as basic techniques and equipment use are explained at the start, and experienced investigators may bring their own gear. Early offerings are expected to reach capacity quickly.

Summer Camp - Hands On AI, Data and Media Literacy

TOLEDO PINBALL LEAGUE - SEASON 9!

The Toledo Pinball League returns for its ninth season with a competitive format that welcomes a range of skill levels. Sessions run every other Wednesday, with six weeks of qualifying followed by a finals playoff. Entry is 15 dollars, paid out during finals after IFPA fees and trophy costs are covered. Each league night features five games played in four player groups. Of the six qualifying sessions, your best four count toward standings, so two low scores or missed weeks are dropped. Seeding for the first week uses IFPA rank, then shifts to average points per player based on the weeks you attend. For finals, the top half of the field advances, adjusted to create four player groups without exceeding 50 percent. Those players compete in group elimination with three games per round, and byes may apply depending on turnout, with details subject to change. The remaining players enter B finals, where qualifying points carry over and seven rounds of group match play determine results, also subject to change.

Pokémon TCG Chaos Tournament (Mid-Year Celebration)

Part of a mid-year celebration, this Pokémon TCG tournament uses the Standard format with quick best of one matches. The event features three or four rounds based on attendance. Chaos rules are in effect, so whenever a prize card is claimed, a random extra effect is triggered. The champion earns an exclusive playmat. Prize packs are available for participation and for the top finalist. Digital participation rewards are delivered directly to players through their Pokémon Trainer Central email addresses.

The story begins when Anthony shows up at Caroline’s home with a well-worn copy of Walt Whitman’s Leaves of Grass and a time sensitive assignment from their English class. Caroline has been out of school due to illness, quick with a sharp wit, while Anthony is athletic, kind, and widely liked. As they work through the poetry, they gradually open up to one another, and what starts as a simple homework project reveals a deeper mystery behind why they have crossed paths. The play is a tribute to youth, to living and loving, and to the surprising beauty of human connection. The performance takes place in the Chapel. The updated Reptile House, the ProMedica Museum of Natural History, the Aquarium, the splash pad, the carousel, the train, and the Nancy L. & Martin Davidson Barnyard will be open to explore. AU Night at the Toledo Mudhens!

Spend an AU-themed night at Fifth Third Field in Toledo as the Toledo Mud Hens take the field. The celebration embraces Christmas in July, featuring a game day giveaway, a visit from Santa, and other festive touches. It is a chance for AU alumni in the area to connect with fellow Eagles while enjoying the action. Fans are encouraged to wear ugly sweaters and holiday attire and to show plenty of purple and gold pride for a summer evening to remember.

Glass City Series Race #3

The third race in the Glass City Series takes place at TARCAR. Organizers share appreciation for last year’s participants and reaffirm a commitment to a special, competitive, and rewarding season with the help of companies supporting the track and series. The program includes electric practice, followed by nitro practice, and then racing. Series honors feature large trophies for the top five points finishers in each class after five races. To qualify for overall awards and the season-ending banquet, competitors must attend at least four events. The banquet will include food, giveaways, and trophy presentations, and class champions will receive additional recognition. Entry fees are tiered, with member pricing of 25, 20, and 10 dollars and non-member pricing of 35, 20, and 10 dollars.

Set out for a relaxed 10 mile slow roll at about 10 mph, entirely on bike trail. The ride starts in the Stadium Rd Parking Lot at Clay High School and follows the Oregon Bike Trail. After the ride, the plan is to head to Freight House for breakfast.

Toledo Game Room hosts a two day 40K tournament using 11th Edition rules. Armies are set at 2000 points, and the event features five games in total, with three on the first day and two on the second. TRRC 50th Anniversary Celebration Run & Dinner

The Toledo Roadrunners Club marks its 50th year with a two-part celebration that begins with a community run and concludes with an evening dinner. The anniversary run features a timed 5K and a 1-mile walk starting at Glass City Metropark, following a route that highlights downtown Toledo’s renewed waterfront and Metroparks Toledo, with a special Memorial Mile included. Participants receive chip timing, a personalized bib, a finisher certificate, and a medal. The first 200 registrants are guaranteed a TRRC 50th Anniversary logo car seat cover. A memorial sign can be added during registration in the Store section for display on the course. The celebration continues at The Pinnacle in Maumee with a cocktail hour and cash bar serving beer and wine, followed by a sit-down meal. Attendees can reconnect with members from across the decades, browse memorabilia from the club’s history, and take part in a tribute honoring past leaders who have shaped the Toledo Roadrunners Club. Vegan meal options are available, and meal preferences can be selected during registration. Registration offers flexibility with options for the run or walk only, dinner only, both run and dinner, a 10-seat table only, or a table plus race. Pricing is as follows: Run or Walk 35 dollars with a 5 dollar discount for TRRC members, Dinner Only 45 dollars, and a Run and Dinner bundle for 80 dollars with a 5 dollar member discount. 5-Mile Hike (Ages 16 and up, Dog Friendly)

Stretch your legs on a fitness-focused hike through the beautiful habitats of Wildwood Preserve Metropark at Metz Stables. The pace emphasizes exercise with brief pauses to appreciate nature along the way. There is no cost to participate, but reservations are required. Leashed, friendly dogs are welcome. Dogs must remain on the trail and on a 6 foot leash at all times, be licensed, vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and at least four months old. Each person may bring up to two dogs. If a dog becomes disruptive or aggressive, it will need to separate from the group. Led by Metroparks volunteers, this program takes place rain or shine. Dress for the weather and bring a filled reusable water bottle.

StrongHER is an outdoor movement class for women in midlife, presented by KickSpark WholeBody Wellness and set within the Cliffs Great Lakes Maritime Park at the National Museum of the Great Lakes in Toledo. The session combines functional fitness with resistance training in a welcoming atmosphere. All equipment is provided, with simple, travel friendly tools like loop bands and Pilates balls used to target major muscle groups and enhance mobility. A community outing at Fifth Third Field brings Mainstreeters together to watch the Mud Hens. Tickets cost $11 per person. Celebrate the launch of Stern Pinball’s Transformers with a tournament at The Basement: Toledo’s Pinball Pub. A Transformers translite will be given away. Competition features three hours of group match play, then the top four advance to a PAPA style three game final. A B division may be added based on player turnout. During qualifying, Transformers will be the featured machine. Fees include a one dollar IFPA tournament fee, plus an optional five dollar prize pool. Cost is one dollar plus coin drop, with players covering their own credits. Any optional prize pool money is paid out in full, with 40 percent to first, 30 percent to second, 20 percent to third, and 10 percent to fourth. Players of all skill levels are welcome, and newcomers can get friendly guidance to learn the basics. Recovery Pets: Toledo Reptile Expo 2026

Recovery Pets will be at the Toledo Reptile Expo with adoptable small animals, including rats and guinea pigs, and opportunities to learn how to support rescue efforts in the community. Visitors can meet the animals, get guidance on emotional support animals and responsible ownership, and explore ways to help through fostering or volunteering. The booth will feature rescue merchandise, with proceeds going toward veterinary care, and offer kid-friendly interactions suitable for beginners. Each adoption creates space for another animal in need, many of whom arrive through neglect, owner surrenders, or emergency intakes. Discover stained glass in a beginner friendly workshop led by Mary and Taylir Ellis with What the Flux Studio. Learn core techniques including cutting, grinding, soldering and patina while making one piece in your choice of a raindrop or a mushroom trio. 7th ANNUAL WICKED WHEELS CAR FEST

The 7th Annual Wicked Wheels Car Fest fills the day with engines, shine, and spirited competition. Show vehicles can register on site for $10, with an emphasis on smooth, efficient check-in. Spectators are welcomed with free admission and parking thanks to generous community sponsors. Judges will honor standout entries across Classics, Exotics, Hot Rods, Motorcycles, Race Cars, Rat Rods, and Tuners, with the top prize of Best of Show. A new Winner's Circle will spotlight the champions, and organizers hope to surpass last year’s total of 550 vehicles. Support teams add to the experience, with Springfield High School volunteers assisting with registration and the Cheer Devils circulating with 50/50 tickets, while food trucks serve crowd favorites. Proceeds from the Summer Series 2026 events will benefit A.N.G.E.L.S Outreach, Blessings in Disguise, Dave's Running Shop and its after school running program for elementary-aged children in Homecoming Park, Mountain Mentors, and the Toledo Vet Center. The Groove Brothers Band

Toledo Jeep Fest '26 features The Groove Brothers Band at Hensville Park for a high-energy tribute to The Allman Brothers Band, also marking Jeep’s 85th anniversary. Headlining the festival’s final night, the group performs for a crowd that the event is known to draw in the tens of thousands. This eight-piece delivers the twin-guitar interplay associated with Duane Allman and Dickey Betts, a tight and dynamic rhythm section, emotive vocals and keys that capture Gregg Allman’s grit, and a horn section that brings extra punch to the arrangements. The set highlights classics from The Allman Brothers Band, including Ramblin’ Man, Midnight Rider, Whipping Post, and Jessica, aiming for sing-along moments and dance-ready grooves. Based in Central Ohio, The Groove Brothers Band has spent more than 14 years on stages across 400-plus shows and earned the 2022 QFM96 House Band Contest title. At The Toledo Zoo, a two-day art fair fills the grounds with local and regional talent, featuring a range of mediums on display and available for purchase. Guests can watch artist demonstrations alongside animal painting sessions and enjoy live musical entertainment throughout the fair. The event is included with Zoo admission, and members receive entry at no additional cost. Daily animal painting demos spotlight favorites such as the hippopotamus on Tembo Trail, African elephants in the bull yard on Tembo Trail, penguins at Penguin Beach, and animals featured in the Primate Forest, Reptile House, and Nature’s Neighborhood, including an armadillo. Wine on the Water on the Glass City Pearl with A Father's Option

Enjoy a two-hour scenic cruise aboard the Glass City Pearl on Toledo’s Maumee River, shaped by a spirit of community and purpose. Take in riverfront vistas, historic bridges, green shorelines, and the city skyline as the boat moves at an easy pace. Passing boats and shoreline wildlife add to the view, with gentle reflections setting a relaxed tone. Race four of the Glass City Series takes place at TARCAR, supported by companies backing the track and the series. Oversized trophies will be awarded to the top five in points for each class after all five races. To qualify for overall awards and the banquet, participants must attend at least four events. The year concludes with a banquet that includes food, giveaways, and a trophy presentation, along with special recognition for class champions. Practice sessions for Electric and Nitro take place before racing begins. Entry fees are 25, 20, and 10 dollars for members, or 35, 20, and 10 dollars for non members.

Centennial Health Fair

The Centennial Health Fair brings together screenings, education, and wellness activities for all ages, including a drawing for a complimentary full body MRI. Attendees can take advantage of free health screenings, blood pressure and BMI checks, help with patient portal access, and guidance to social work resources. A medication take-back station will be available with restrictions that exclude sharps, aerosol products, and liquids. Festivities include face painting by students from Whiteford and a variety of food trucks, along with short beginner yoga sessions led by Toledo Yoga and participation from YMCA SilverSneakers. Throughout the fair, visitors can explore information on weight management and on culinary and lifestyle medicine, as well as support for diabetes prevention and management with nutrition counseling. Additional topics include pulmonary function testing, home-based sleep studies, and biologic therapies for asthma and COPD. The Bob Ross Painting Experience - The Beach

Members Memorial Trophy Race

TARCAR hosts a memorial trophy race honoring off-road racers who have passed. No club membership is required to compete, and the track welcomes everyone. The program includes practice sessions with dedicated time for electric and for nitro, followed by racing. Food will be available on site. Trophies will be presented to the top three in each class. Overnight camping is welcome. Entry fees are 35, 20, and 10 dollars for non-members, and 25, 20, and 10 dollars for members.

Inaugural Truck Show

Working trucks and show-ready builds roll into Rossford for the inaugural Whiteford Kenworth Truck Show, welcoming owner-operators and fleets alike. Entries are organized into Combo truck and trailer, Bobtail tractor only, Vocational such as dump, straight and work trucks, Towing and Recovery heavy duty, and Vintage vehicles 25 years or older. Awards will be presented in every class, along with Best in Show and People’s Choice. Admission is free and the atmosphere is family friendly. Participants are strongly encouraged to pre-register by emailing whitefordkwshow@lglk.com with the owner or driver name, phone number, city and state, truck year, make, model and engine, and the preferred show class. The Rossford dealership will have Parts and Service available during regular business hours. This gathering celebrates the trucks and drivers that keep the industry moving.

TTT's Doubles Baker's Battle ($1,200 First Place)

A scratch Baker doubles tournament at Penny Jo's Eastern Lanes features a $1,200 top prize with a full field and a 1-in-5 payout. Teams of two may be any combination, and entry is $80 per team. The event is limited to 48 teams and will be contested on the house pattern. All teams bowl six qualifying Baker games while moving pairs, then the top finishers, determined by the number of entries, advance to Baker match play. Bands for Bulldogs

This community music showcase brings together local performers and the Rossford Schools community across multiple stages. Over two days, area bands take the stage at Cinco de Mayo, Moe's, Danny's, and Red's Irish Goodbye in Rossford. The event supports The Bulldog Foundation as it raises funds for student scholarships, classroom programming, and other educational needs. Sponsorship opportunities are available.

Hosted at T.A.R.C.A.R., this fifth and final race in the series features a format of three qualifying rounds followed by two mains. Entry fees are $45 for the first class, $35 for a second, and $15 for each additional entry. Classes available include 15U with Ebuggy, 4x4 SCT, and Mini Truggy only, along with 1:8 Electric Buggy, 1:8 Nitro Buggy, 1:8 Electric Truck, 1:8 Nitro Truck, 1:8 40+ Electric Buggy, 4x4 SC, and Mini-Truggy.
