The Medicine Show Revival in Downtown Grants Pass Summer 2026

Grants Pass, Oregon, 217 SE 6th St, Grants Pass · verified Aug 9
    See details

The Medicine Show Revival, a local 501(c)(3) dedicated to empowering, educating and entertaining, brings a nine-day celebration of community resilience to downtown Grants Pass. Designed as a citywide gathering that strengthens connections, this edition begins with a mobile bike party following a decorating meet-up outside True Juice that shines light on mental health, substance abuse and suicide, then continues across hand selected downtown blocks before closing with a relaxed day in Riverside Park. Each day centers on a theme, a suggested color and a different downtown location chosen for its role in building a more resilient Grants Pass. A consistent rhythm runs through the week with a Run and Walk for Resilience of 12 laps around the featured block with the Positive Fitness crew, daytime educational workshops, a community meal and potluck, brief MedTalks and evening entertainment. Highlights include a stage night outside Chilly Goose and Nada Noodles with live music by Gong 1:11, a Joy and the 5 Elements talk with Sang and a talent show with The Wandering Stool. Another evening hosted by Dwell Makerie features a talk on Enlifted Mindset with Jeff Nemeth and Story Time with Plaedo. A night focused on love and connection offers music by Banjo Youngblood, a MedTalk with Eric Jessup and a screening of The Goonies. G Street Bar & Grill hosts a blue themed gathering with Hana Joy, a MedTalk with Kamo Youngblood and improv comedy with Goldfish. Body Alchemy curates an evening with Ancient Baby, a MedTalk with Captain LoveScream and Banjo Youngblood and the Long Story Shorts Variety Show. A unity themed celebration features a community meal that includes Shabbat with Marino, performances by female hip hop artists, a MedTalk on purpose with Chris Walker and the return of the variety show. The final day at the Riverside Park Event Pavilion East Side includes a Co Creation School circus tent filled with games, crafts, activities and bunnies for children, a closing ceremony, workshops and live entertainment. Offerings include The Building Blocks of Conscious Conception with Andelynn Pendragon with Crowning Doula, which welcomes a suggested donation with no one turned away, a park wide prize game for children that supports local businesses, and Village Based Leadership with Amy Ma, M.Ed., exploring intergenerational learning, nature connection and regenerative leadership, food sovereignty and land stewardship, meaningful work and shared responsibility, multicultural wisdom and traditions, and authentic relationships for resilient communities. Cirkus Pandemonium brings original fantasy music with accordion and full band alongside flow dancers, while Knowa Dusseldorf leads Buddhist Permaculture with discussion for adults and hands on activities for children. Monday from the Glad Wagon introduces Clown tact Improv, followed by the Glad Wagon Variety Show where community members can share their art. Food Not Bombs hosts a community potluck, Banjo Youngblood delivers a MedTalk on the founding principles titled DO YOU, and Family Mystic caps the night with four part vocal harmonies and a blend of funk, soul, 70s psychedelic rock, modern americana, disco and jazz fusion. All locations, timing and events are subject to change as participation grows and permits are finalized.
