Light Language: The Story Of One Practitioner’s Journey With An Unusual Sound Healing Phenomenon

Ashland · Rogue Valley Metaphysical Library, 1757 Ashland St

    Free

Discover the world of light language in a free program guided by Hilary Stewart, who shares her long experience with this unusual form of sound expression. She explores questions about where light language may come from, how it is expressed, how it affects speakers and listeners, whether it relates to sound healing or channeling, whether it can be written or translated, and how someone might activate their own. Through informal storytelling and live demonstrations, Hilary offers spoken and sung examples, including channeled messages for volunteers. The emphasis is experiential, inviting understanding that moves beyond analysis and is felt on a soul level. Hilary has spoken light language for eighteen years and has worked as an energy healer for over twenty five. Drawing on a wide range of training, she created her own modality, 360°Grounding, to support the embodied expression of one’s unique soul frequency. Her background includes extensive study and travel with sound healer Tom Kenyon. She also leads Light Song, a group sound healing offering in multiple cities, and released a Light Song album in 2020 that can be heard on her website, her YouTube channel, and most streaming platforms.

Boundaries As a Spiritual Practice- Not Just a Communication Skill by Lorie Solay

Ashland · Rogue Valley Metaphysical Library, 1757 Ashland St

    Free

Admission is free. Lorie Solay leads a talk on treating boundaries as a spiritual practice you live in your body rather than just words you say. The session explores how aligned limits can reshape your energy, your relationships, and the way you move through daily life. Many people recognize patterns like agreeing when they want to decline, skirting conflict, feeling bad about having needs, or knowing the right words yet struggling to hold the line. When limits are fuzzy, it is easy to overextend, feel overwhelmed, or carry quiet resentment. When they are rooted in self-worth and inner truth, a different experience emerges, one marked by steadiness, clarity, and authentic expression. Blending elements of modern psychology, somatic awareness, and metaphysical insight, Lorie discusses how boundaries interact with the nervous system, subconscious tendencies, and the surrounding energetic field. Expect practical guidance on why boundaries are central to spiritual growth, how people-pleasing disrupts connection with your real self, how to read bodily and energetic cues that signal a limit is needed, and ways to hold your position with calm and self-trust so ease, respect, and fulfillment can take root. The focus is not rigidity or withdrawal. It is alignment with what truly matters, so choices, relationships, and use of time and energy begin to reflect your deepest values. Lorie Solay, CHt, is a coach who has received awards, with training in Hypnotherapy, NLP, Quantum Consciousness, Integration Breathwork, Sylvotherapy, and related modalities. For more than ten years, she has guided individuals, groups, and organizations through retreats, workshops, and immersive nature experiences, including guiding at sacred sites around Mount Shasta. Her approach brings together practical tools and spiritual insight to strengthen inner wisdom, self-trust, and meaningful alignment.

    NOON Year's Eve

    Ashland · ScienceWorks Hands-On Museum, 1500 E Main St

Families can welcome the new year with hands-on science, laughter, and playful countdowns at this annual celebration, which is included with membership or covered by regular admission. The countdown moment features two balloon drops so everyone can participate in the way that suits them best. In the Main Gallery, the atmosphere is lively with a countdown set to music. In Kranzler Hall, a sensory-friendly version keeps things calm by whispering the numbers and swapping noise for jazz hands. To reduce waiting at entry, advance admission tickets are offered at standard prices, and members can reserve free tickets by logging in. The Egg Drop Challenge gets a colorful makeover with reusable plastic eggs filled with paint instead of real eggs. The switch cuts down on waste, eliminates raw egg cleanup, and lets participants take their egg-stronaut creations home. Nonperishable food donations are welcome for the Ashland Community Food Bank, with a collection barrel stationed near the front desk. Every contribution helps support neighbors facing hunger. The whole experience spotlights curiosity, creativity, and community. Whether an egg vehicle lands safely or bursts into a bright splash, every test is celebrated as part of the fun of scientific exploration. ScienceWorks membership includes free admission to this celebration and other member events, along with year-round perks such as discounts on camps, birthday parties, and the gift shop, plus free entry to hundreds of Association of Science and Technology Centers member organizations.
