Journeys... A Center for Your SoulInvestor Lab Salem: The Future of Downtown — Why Community Is the New Anchor Tenant
Investor Lab hosts an evening of learning and networking at The Forge in Salem. Guest speaker Jacob Espinoza, Chief Entertainment Officer of Salem Center, will explore why the real vacancy challenge centers on gathering rather than retail, how a new anchor model elevates recurring community before recurring tenants, what initiatives are underway at Salem Center, and how local media and live events can reshape spaces. The discussion also looks ahead to why the next decade of successful downtowns is likely to be led by locally owned businesses. The night starts with open networking, continues with a focused presentation, and wraps up with more time to connect.
