Touted as one of Pennsylvania’s finest fall festivals, this 15th anniversary celebration continues to grow, welcoming more than 50,000 attendees. Ben Stapp offers a solo set that highlights his distinctive approach to sound, color, and texture, shaped by a career that spans more than thirty recordings, eight leader releases on his Uqbar Music label, and collaborations with Ray Anderson’s Pocket Brass Band, Steven Bernstein’s Universal Melody Brass Band, the International Contemporary Ensemble, the American Composers Orchestra, Frank London, Steve Swell’s Tuba Band, Red Barrat, and the ECCE Ensemble. His work as a composer includes the Jerome Artist Award for Myrrha’s Red Book, and his recent solo album, Uzmic Ro’Samg, earned a place on a JazzTimes Top 10 list. His larger-scale pieces have been examined in academic settings, and outlets such as Avant Music News have underscored his impact. Michael Parker appears as DJTUBA, a persona that blends classical training with jazz, electronic, indie, and hip hop to create fluid, cross-genre sets. His programs have been presented in spaces ranging from dance parties to conservatory stages, community concert series, and professional conferences. A veteran U.S. touring artist, he spent 15 years with the Monumental Brass Quintet and has performed with organizations including the Washington National Opera, Rodney Marsalis Philadelphia Big Brass, the Binghamton Philharmonic, Williamsport Symphony, Scranton Brass Orchestra, Northeastern Philharmonic, Lyric Brass, Elmhurst Symphony, Kenosha Symphony, Missouri Brass Consortium, Brass Effects, Macey Leeds Dance Party, and the Dave Jumper Voodoo BBQ Brass Band. Together, they explore adventurous sound worlds for tuba and electronics with a spirit of innovation and range.

This accredited and registered Usui Reiki Level I training, also known as Shoden, is led by Reiki Master Teacher and Certified Energy Holistic Practitioner Mara Morell. Shoden centers on self-healing and the foundations of supporting others. This first session of the annual Potion Party Magickal Night centers on creating a personal protective sigil. Protective sigils are customized, hand drawn symbols intended to shield against negative energy, harm, or ill will by translating a specific positive intention into a one of a kind design using simple geometric forms, lines, and esoteric alphabets. The program covers background and meaning, offers a guided visualization meditation, and includes multiple practice sketches before completing a final version on sacred, blessed and infused paper. The finished sigil is placed in a frame for use on an altar, in a meditation space, or anywhere intuition leads. Part 2 will follow. The cost for part one is $25.

The Exchange continues its monthly Blues, Americana and Roots Listening Room in its storefront art gallery on Main Street in Bloomsburg, a series that has been running since 2017, with a return appearance by guitarist, singer and songwriter Brooks Williams. Born in Statesboro, Georgia and now based in Cambridge in the UK, Williams has been a standout on the acoustic music scene for over three decades. He is celebrated for deft guitar work that moves seamlessly through folk, blues and country with a jazz-informed touch, and he is widely recognized among top acoustic guitarists. His songwriting leans into richly drawn characters and places, from prospectors and musicians to riders, palominos and lovable rogues, delivered with a voice that invites listeners in. Early in his career he settled in Boston during a vibrant singer songwriter era, honed his craft in New York and New England rooms, and shared stages with Shawn Colvin, Chris Smither, Rory Block, Leo Kottke, Odetta, Billy Bragg and Taj Mahal. His debut, North From Statesboro, earned attention from major press and public radio, and stations like WUMB-FM in Boston have championed his work, placing him among their Top 100 Artists of All Time. Over the years he has released 31 recordings across labels including Green Linnet, Solid Air, Signature Sounds and Reveal, with Work My Claim praised as a defining milestone. His touring has taken him to festivals and venues such as Newport, Winnipeg, Cropredy, Cambridge and Philadelphia, along with past visits to Bloomsburg. Newborn Essentials offers a welcoming, small-group experience created by PAK Pediatrics to support mothers through the earliest weeks of life with a new baby. Led by experienced pediatricians and child care experts, the interactive format centers on practical, evidence-based guidance, including feeding, sleep routines, and infant health. Participants can ask questions, build confidence, and connect with other new moms in a caring setting that encourages conversation and shared experiences. Attendance is limited to keep the experience personal and attentive to each participant’s needs.

Artists delivering work for Cash & Carry XIII can turn in finished pieces created on the 1/2-inch-thick MDF panels provided in a variety of shapes and sizes. Anything goes on these panels, from painting and drawing to collage, photography, fiber, and more, since the panel itself is the unifying element of the show. The exhibition will be installed the same weekend, followed by a browsing period and a purchase event that uses a fair, number-based system. Numbers are handed out at random. The holder of the first number selects one piece, then takes another number and returns to the end of the line for any additional choices, with the process continuing in order. After the initial wave, buyers may choose as many works as they like. Payment by check or card is accepted, and purchased pieces go home right away, which is the idea behind the name. Most works are priced at $30, with $24 going to the artist, and there are also a few at $10, $15, $20, or $50. Artists who wish may donate more or all of their proceeds to The Exchange.

A soft tip darts competition with a blind draw format and double elimination supports a holiday toy drive. The field is limited to 32 players. Entry is $15, or $10 with a new, unwrapped toy for children ages 2 to 16. All donated toys benefit the Berwick Women’s Shelter.

Almost Infamous brings a party to Mountaintop Pub & Eatery, pairing food and drinks with a chance to hit the dance floor. The set focuses on songs people know and love, providing the soundtrack for an evening of dining and dancing.
