Best suited for infants and toddlers up to 36 months, it provides a lively experience for little ones and their adults. No registration is required, and drop-in participation is welcome for scheduled sessions.

Create a canvas table runner inspired by classic floorcloths during a hands-on class focused on design and finishing techniques. Each participant completes a 12 by 35 inch runner, starting with a pre-primed and base-coated canvas in a chosen background color of ochre (mustard) or white. This color is selected in advance and cannot be changed because of prep work completed before the session. On the day of the class, choose from six stencil patterns and a wide range of paint colors. Mix and match any stencil with either background, add a painted border if you like, then finish your piece with two coats of sealer for a durable runner that wipes clean with a damp cloth and is made to last for years. The class fee includes the prepared canvas runner in your chosen base color, all tools and supplies, basic paint colors, and a deli-style lunch with snacks and refreshments. Class size is limited. Extra runners and stencil packets will be available for purchase if you wish to make additional pieces at home. To accommodate the space needed, the class will be held at the Elysburg Fire Department behind the shop. Please park in the shop’s back lot and use the clearly marked fire company entrance. A phone number is required at registration and payment is due in advance. If the class is canceled or rescheduled by the organizer, a refund or class/store credit will be issued. The Exchange’s monthly Blues, Americana, and Roots Listening Room, running since summer 2017, welcomes the return of Nick Andrew Staver for an intimate set. The southern Pennsylvania singer songwriter works in American Roots and Blues with a blue collar spirit, pairing steel guitar tones with a voice steeped in nostalgia. Over the past decade as an independent artist he has released ten albums, including Rust Don’t Shine from 2022 and the late 2024 studio release ROOTS. His writing moves between Folk and Blues with vivid lyrics, expressive vocals, and a distinctive guitar approach. Hosted by the Sky High club, this weekend gathering highlights warbird and classic aviation flying in a range of sizes across Central Pennsylvania. Sunday includes a church service at the Historic Warrior Run Church along with continued tours, the flag ceremony with the Fort Freeland Company of Independent Riflemen, hammered dulcimer music and instruction, the apple butter boil, herb gardening sessions, a Battle of Fort Freeland re-enactment with funding provided by the Charles B. Hosted at Mocanaqua Sporting Club, the fourth annual Little Dog American darts tournament welcomes a field limited to 32 players with a $25 entry. Eligibility requires an ABDA average, and the competition is set for 36.00 or below with no handicaps. Matches are played best two out of three in both the winners bracket and the losers bracket. The overall champion takes the full prize pool and also earns a paid entry into the Big Dog Tournament. A 50/50 will fund the second place payout. Player averages are locked at the moment of registration.

Readers gather in the Main Floor Reading Lounge with the McBride chapter of Silent Book Club for a quiet, bring-your-own-book gathering. The format includes time to chat at the beginning and end, with a central period set aside for silent reading at a comfortable pace. Conversation is optional and participants may stay as long as they wish. As part of the Silent Book Club network, there is no required reading and the community spans more than a thousand chapters that meet in cafes, bars, bookstores, libraries, and online to enjoy reading together.

The Fifth Annual Journey Bank Photography Competition welcomes photographers of every experience level to share their vision and compete for cash awards. Finalists’ framed prints will be exhibited and judged at First Presbyterian Church in Berwick, where the public can view the work, cast a vote for the People’s Choice Award, and celebrate local talent. A separate monthly gathering is also available at McBride Memorial Library. La Leche League is an international nonprofit founded in 1956 that supports, encourages, and educates parents who wish to breastfeed or chestfeed, connecting families with compassionate, research-informed help through local groups and a global network of volunteer Leaders.

An annual season-ending sanctioned aerotow and e-soaring gathering set in fall conditions. Later in the day, flying opens up for whatever you prefer to fly. Lunch is provided on multiple days. There is ample space for camping and RVs, with no hookups, and on-site rest facilities. Registration is $20 per day, and camping for the full event is $10.

This grief support group provides a caring space for anyone coping with a sudden, unexpected loss. Participants may choose to share, to listen, or to simply be present with others who understand. The group meets on the second Thursday of every month. Attendance is free and open to the public.

Touted as one of Pennsylvania’s finest fall festivals, this 15th anniversary celebration continues to grow, welcoming more than 50,000 attendees. Set beside the historic and scenic Susquehanna River, it offers a fair experience without an admission charge. Parking, admission, entertainment, and shows are all free. A boundary-pushing program for solo tuba and electronics features two artists who expand the instrument’s possibilities across genres. Ben Stapp offers a solo set that highlights his distinctive approach to sound, color, and texture, shaped by a career that spans more than thirty recordings, eight leader releases on his Uqbar Music label, and collaborations with Ray Anderson’s Pocket Brass Band, Steven Bernstein’s Universal Melody Brass Band, the International Contemporary Ensemble, the American Composers Orchestra, Frank London, Steve Swell’s Tuba Band, Red Barrat, and the ECCE Ensemble. His work as a composer includes the Jerome Artist Award for Myrrha’s Red Book, and his recent solo album, Uzmic Ro’Samg, earned a place on a JazzTimes Top 10 list. His larger-scale pieces have been examined in academic settings, and outlets such as Avant Music News have underscored his impact. Michael Parker appears as DJTUBA, a persona that blends classical training with jazz, electronic, indie, and hip hop to create fluid, cross-genre sets. His programs have been presented in spaces ranging from dance parties to conservatory stages, community concert series, and professional conferences. A veteran U.S. touring artist, he spent 15 years with the Monumental Brass Quintet and has performed with organizations including the Washington National Opera, Rodney Marsalis Philadelphia Big Brass, the Binghamton Philharmonic, Williamsport Symphony, Scranton Brass Orchestra, Northeastern Philharmonic, Lyric Brass, Elmhurst Symphony, Kenosha Symphony, Missouri Brass Consortium, Brass Effects, Macey Leeds Dance Party, and the Dave Jumper Voodoo BBQ Brass Band. Together, they explore adventurous sound worlds for tuba and electronics with a spirit of innovation and range.

This accredited and registered Usui Reiki Level I training, also known as Shoden, is led by Reiki Master Teacher and Certified Energy Holistic Practitioner Mara Morell. The Mrida Seva School of Holistic Wellness, established in 2012, offers continued guidance so learning can continue beyond the class. Shoden centers on self-healing and the foundations of supporting others. Participants begin a path of self-discovery, learn to trust the principles of traditional Reiki, and with practice cultivate confidence in their own intuitive energy work while honoring the wisdom of the ancient masters. The class introduces the practice of Usui Reiki and includes both instruction and hands-on experience. Energy channels are opened at a physical level to deepen connection with Reiki and to activate the body’s natural capacity to heal. This first session of the annual Potion Party Magickal Night centers on creating a personal protective sigil. Protective sigils are customized, hand drawn symbols intended to shield against negative energy, harm, or ill will by translating a specific positive intention into a one of a kind design using simple geometric forms, lines, and esoteric alphabets. The program covers background and meaning, offers a guided visualization meditation, and includes multiple practice sketches before completing a final version on sacred, blessed and infused paper. The Exchange continues its monthly Blues, Americana and Roots Listening Room in its storefront art gallery on Main Street in Bloomsburg, a series that has been running since 2017, with a return appearance by guitarist, singer and songwriter Brooks Williams. Born in Statesboro, Georgia and now based in Cambridge in the UK, Williams has been a standout on the acoustic music scene for over three decades. He is celebrated for deft guitar work that moves seamlessly through folk, blues and country with a jazz-informed touch, and he is widely recognized among top acoustic guitarists. His songwriting leans into richly drawn characters and places, from prospectors and musicians to riders, palominos and lovable rogues, delivered with a voice that invites listeners in. Early in his career he settled in Boston during a vibrant singer songwriter era, honed his craft in New York and New England rooms, and shared stages with Shawn Colvin, Chris Smither, Rory Block, Leo Kottke, Odetta, Billy Bragg and Taj Mahal. His debut, North From Statesboro, earned attention from major press and public radio, and stations like WUMB-FM in Boston have championed his work, placing him among their Top 100 Artists of All Time. Over the years he has released 31 recordings across labels including Green Linnet, Solid Air, Signature Sounds and Reveal, with Work My Claim praised as a defining milestone. His touring has taken him to festivals and venues such as Newport, Winnipeg, Cropredy, Cambridge and Philadelphia, along with past visits to Bloomsburg. Collaboration is another hallmark of his career, including an instrumental set with fiddler Aaron Catlow that was shortlisted by Fatea for Instrumental Album of the Year, a duo project with banjoist Dan Walsh, and performances with Hans Theessink, Sloan Wainwright, Boo Hewerdine, Guy Davis and the late Rab Noakes. Admission is a $10 donation at the door, and guests may bring their own beverages.

Facilitated by outpatient dietician and Diabetes Educator Jennifer Toth of St. Luke’s University Health Network, this Diabetes Support Group brings together people managing diabetes along with their families, friends, and caregivers. Participation is open to all, and there is no requirement to be a St. Luke’s patient. Whether living with diabetes, navigating pre-diabetes, or supporting someone who is, attendees can take part in shared discussions and practical support. Meetings take place at the library outside regular hours, fostering open conversation with the understanding that discussions remain within the group.

A Halloween themed reception highlights an exhibition inspired by Mischief Night, the night before All Hallows’ Eve, where pranks, parties and playful mischief fuel the imagination. The Exchange Gallery presents artworks that capture the feel of Mischief Night, Halloween and fall festivities, spanning all media in both two and three dimensions, with some pieces reaching up to the size of the front door. Explore a community showcase featuring contributions from artists of every age and experience level.

Pickle Fest will take place at the Bloomsburg Fair Grounds, and a featured local vendor will be there.

Set on the Susquehanna Warrior Trail in Shickshinny, Pennsylvania, this 13th annual 20K serves as the third race in the 7th Annual Vince Wojnar Triple Crown. Participants may run it on its own or include it as part of the series. A 5K will also take place. The Triple Crown includes the Winter’s End 4.5 Mile Run, the Cherry Blossom 5 Mile Run, and this 20K.

Matches are best two of three in both the winners and losers brackets, and ABDA averages are in effect. Entry is $50 per team, with space limited to 24 teams. Player averages are locked at the point of registration.

Jolly Jamboree 2026 expands in a fresh setting at All Home Days Park. Enjoy kid-focused holiday shopping, creative crafts with a variety of vendors, flavorful food and sweet treats, a balloon artist, photo opportunities with Santa, and plenty of games and raffles. With activities for all ages, it offers a festive way to celebrate the season.

Artists delivering work for Cash & Carry XIII can turn in finished pieces created on the 1/2-inch-thick MDF panels provided in a variety of shapes and sizes. Anything goes on these panels, from painting and drawing to collage, photography, fiber, and more, since the panel itself is the unifying element of the show. The exhibition will be installed the same weekend, followed by a browsing period and a purchase event that uses a fair, number-based system. Numbers are handed out at random. The holder of the first number selects one piece, then takes another number and returns to the end of the line for any additional choices, with the process continuing in order. After the initial wave, buyers may choose as many works as they like. Payment by check or card is accepted, and purchased pieces go home right away, which is the idea behind the name. Most works are priced at $30, with $24 going to the artist, and there are also a few at $10, $15, $20, or $50. Artists who wish may donate more or all of their proceeds to The Exchange.
