Family events in Bethlehem, PA

Children read aloud with Lehigh Valley Therapy Dogs as the audience in a monthly, drop in program. Participants may bring their own books or choose from those provided. All ages are welcome. In November and December, it takes place one week earlier due to the holidays.

This free craft circle welcomes participants ages 6 and up. Explore a new craft, bring a project you are working on, or share your skills to help others in a relaxed, creative setting.

Pinkapalooza 2026 is a family festival at HangDog Outdoor Adventure that benefits the Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley, presented by BSI Corporate Benefits and Boyle Construction. It brings people together for a day of fun, friendship, and purpose in support of individuals and families affected by cancer across the region. Guests can enjoy live music from Sol Katana, special brunch features from Hangdog Brewing Co., and a selection of cocktails, beer, and other refreshments. The adventure course and kids course are available throughout the event, and admission includes giveaways provided by event sponsors. The experience is designed for all ages and is pet friendly. Admission is $20 per person, or attendees may choose to purchase a climbing ticket on the day of the event. Hangdog will donate 20 percent of all food and beverage sales from Hangdog Brewing Co. and 20 percent of all climbing ticket sales to the cause. Wearing pink is encouraged as the community comes together to help provide hope, education, and resources for local families facing cancer.

A relaxed, inclusive day of fishing and park activities awaits at Lehigh Parkway’s Iron Bridge. Now in its tenth year, this free community gathering brings people together to cast a line, enjoy arts and crafts and oversized games led by the Lehigh Valley Center for Independent Living, explore activities presented by City of Allentown departments, and connect with community partners from across the Lehigh Valley. Hosted by the City of Allentown Department of Parks and Recreation and the Lehigh Valley Center for Independent Living, the focus is on accessibility, fun, and spending time together outdoors. If weather becomes a concern, updates are shared through the Recreation Inclement Weather Hotline or the AllentownPA Facebook page.

Enrollment is open for upcoming children's dance classes. Space is limited, so early registration helps families secure a preferred class time. New dancers can experience the joy of movement in a warm, encouraging community.

Explore the 1761 Heller-Wagner Grist Mill Complex on a public tour. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children ages 5 to 17.

At the Boys & Girls Club of Allentown, a family-friendly community summit led by Promise Neighborhoods of the Lehigh Valley’s Coordinated Community Violence Intervention Collaborative brings together local organizations, youth opportunities, prevention services, wellness initiatives, and supportive resources for the Lehigh Valley. Attendees can look forward to food trucks, a live DJ with entertainment, community performances, games with prizes and giveaways, and interactive activities for all ages. The event also features local vendors and resource stations, along with complimentary hygiene and self-care items while supplies last. Organized in collaboration with partners across health, education, violence prevention, youth development, and human services, the focus is on uplifting connection and linking residents with valuable programs and opportunities. Celebrating its 18th year, this neighborhood block party brings the West End of Allentown to life with an array of food vendors, adult beverages, music, and activities for all ages. The music lineup will be announced. Vendors are advised that payments are not requested via PayPal and to watch for scam outreach.
