Christkindlmarkt Bethlehem brings a traditional European holiday atmosphere to SteelStacks with ArtsQuest’s German-inspired market presented by Univest Financial. Recognized as one of the nation’s largest and best attended Christmas markets, it showcases dozens of artisan vendors, festive treats, family activities, and the seasonal spirit that has become a Lehigh Valley hallmark. This trip includes admission to the market, a breakfast treat for the ride, a hands-on art activity with the project to be announced, and a "Winter Wonderland" lunch. The lunch features holiday slaw with roasted pear, dried cranberry, carrot and cabbage in apple cider vinaigrette, a Steel City Spuds bar with herb roasted potatoes, shredded cheddar, chive crème fraiche, scallion, crispy pork belly, shredded herb roasted pork and julienne chicken, slow simmered vegan chili, the chef’s winter soup of the day, assorted rolls and butter, vegan winter berry mousse cups, assorted holiday cookies, and a classic coffee and hot chocolate bar. Pick-ups are available in Troy, Towanda, Wyalusing, and Tunkhannock. Seats are $155 per person.

Celebrate the start of the holiday season with a family-friendly 5K through Lehigh Parkway in Allentown, where participants can take in shimmering holiday lights up close on foot. Runners and walkers enjoy post-race hot chocolate and cookies while cheering on those finishing. Registration includes a long-sleeved event shirt and a scenic pass through the Lights in the Parkway display, and race bibs can feature participant names for those who register by the cut off date. The field is limited to 1,200 runners, and timing is provided by Second Wind Race Timing. Ornaments go to the first 50 finishers in three groups, men, women, and kids 12 and under. Awards and official results are based on gun time, meaning the order in which participants cross the finish line. Parking is limited, so plan to arrive early and carpool when possible. There is no parking within the Parkway. Follow staff directions when entering and parking so vehicles line up in the same direction on both sides of the road, and allow time for the walk to the starting area.

Catch Your Breath brings the Not Broken Enough Tour to Archer Music Hall for an all ages performance. Historic Downtown Bethlehem presents a one-of-a-kind Live Advent Calendar in the Sun Inn Courtyard, now in its 18th year and touted as the only celebration of its kind in the country, possibly even the world. This admission-free, family friendly tradition features a short program each evening, typically 10 to 15 minutes, with shops, restaurants, and community organizations from the Historic District unveiling a different surprise for visitors. Produced by the merchants of the Downtown Bethlehem Association in partnership with Touchstone Theater and Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites, it delivers festive cheer night after night.

After the doors open, the evening begins with a set by The Ledbetters. Superunknown performs later to cap the night.
