Presented by the City of Attleboro and the Park Commission, Summer Concerts in the Park brings live music to the Ray Conniff Bandstand. The lineup features Kevin Herchen, Matt York, the Southeastern Massachusetts Community Concert Band, Retro Rockets, Edge of Dreams, The Corvairs, Vinyl Frontier, Bare Bones Big Band, and Andy Solberg. Admission is free, and guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs for comfortable seating. This program is supported by the S.M. Stone Memorial Trust Fund, the Ernest H. Cap off the library’s summer reading program with a kid-friendly party featuring music, balloons, games, and other activities. It offers a warm sendoff to the season while acknowledging all the reading accomplished by participants.

Each month, students in grades 3 through 6 explore a new scientific concept at the library and conduct an experiment or activity that helps answer questions about the natural world. Registration is required through the library’s Children’s Department.

Cruise Nights bring a seasonal gathering to the grounds of Crescent Park, highlighting nostalgic sights and sounds. This season the event takes place along the waterside of the park, and the schedule varies across the season. Admission is free, and donations support the Historic Charles I.D. Looff Carousel. The series returns for another season.

These narrated boat tours along the Providence River explore the city’s past through lively stories of colonial characters, architectural highlights, triumphs, quirks, and scandals. Viewing familiar landmarks from the water offers a new perspective, linking the river to the growth of Rhode Island’s capital. Marking its 35th season, this long-running tradition welcomes both residents and visitors. Reservations are recommended since seats often fill quickly, and tours operate weather permitting. The experience has been honored as Best Local Tour statewide by Best of Rhode Island, named Best City Tour by Yankee Magazine, recognized as Member of the Year by GoProvidence.com, and awarded the Mary J. Brennan Tourism Award by the RI Hospitality Association.

A weekly Wednesday classic car show takes place at A&W in Smithfield, Rhode Island. Show car entry is $10. Bring an appetite and good vibes to enjoy the friendly scene.
