Bring the ancient art of paper filigree to life, learning the shapes and techniques needed to turn paper strips into art, ornaments, and home décor. Each participant will practice various methods and create greeting cards suitable for giving. Manual and fine finger dexterity is helpful.

Horses & Harmony V

Now in its fifth edition at Stable View, this fundraising celebration highlights Aiken’s love of the arts and equestrian life as spring arrives. The program pairs accomplished riders with Maestro Scott Weiss and professional musicians from the Aiken Symphony, presenting a synchronized blend of music and movement. Tickets are available for individuals, couples, or as a full table for eight. Railside seating is $250 and includes premier placement by the rail, VIP parking, table runners, complimentary water and soda, the food service described below, and one bottle of wine for every two tickets purchased. Gallery seating is $150 with tables in the second or third row and includes a complimentary glass of wine, the same food service, and water and soda. All sections offer a thoughtfully arranged view and listening experience. Berry’s Catering, an award-winning team, will present generous heavy hors d’oeuvres on signature grazing tables. A silent auction will feature a curated selection of items and experiences, with details and mobile bidding instructions to be shared closer to the event. Seating is limited. The Friends of the Aiken Symphony, a certified non-profit organization, sponsors this event, and all proceeds support the Aiken Symphony’s mission to bring world-class music to the community. AEC RUN UNITED Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, & Kids' Fun Run

A community running event offers multiple distances while raising support for United Way programs focused on education, financial stability, and health. Participants can choose a 13.1 mile half marathon, a 10K of 6.2 miles, a 5K of 3.1 miles, or a one mile kids fun run. The longest course suits those seeking an endurance test, the 10K delivers a solid challenge, the 5K welcomes runners and walkers of all levels, and the kids race invites young participants to share in the excitement of race day. Registered entrants receive event shirts, finishers earn medals, and post race refreshments help create a welcoming, family friendly atmosphere for individuals, families, and local organizations.

Kids Fishing Rodeo

Enjoy a free, family-focused day at a Kids Fishing Rodeo in Graniteville. Young anglers can take part in a fishing contest with prizes and trophies, while live music from special guest Cody Webb sets the tone. Between casts, grab a bite from food trucks, browse arts and crafts, meet friendly animals at the petting zoo, try gem mining, and unwind with yard games. Several community agencies will be present as well. A dedicated team works hard each year to grow this experience, creating lasting memories for children and families across the community.

3RD ANNUAL GO FUND COLOR WALK/RUN

Celebrate a community-focused color walk and run at Town Creek Baptist Church that raises support for a two-week mission trip to Thailand. Registration is $25 for adults and $10 for children, with a maximum of $75 per family. Proceeds benefit the GO FUND, which fully covers the team’s trip expenses through Town Creek Baptist Church so each participant can concentrate on serving. The team will lead English and sports camps at four schools in Chiang Mai, partner with IMB missionaries and Thai Athlete in Action missionaries, and share the message of Jesus with people they meet along the way. The fundraising goal is $5,000, and every registration helps move it forward. Additional ways to support are available, including $25 to assist Thai translators with everyday needs, $50 to sponsor a team dinner with a thank you photo from Thailand, and $100 to contribute toward airfare. The first 50 people to register will be entered into a drawing for a Thai Jasmine gift card. Friends and families are welcome at this community gathering.

Radioactive Monthly Dose Pinball Tournament

Radioactive Pinball Arcade hosts a recurring IFPA-rated pinball tournament featuring six rounds of group match play. Depending on attendance, either the top 16 or the top 8 advance to quarterfinal and semifinal stages with two games per round, and the final four decide the standings in a single two-game finale. Admission to the arcade is $20 with all machines on free play, and there is a $10 tournament fee that goes to a cash prize pool for the top four players. The arcade covers the IFPA fee.

GriefShare Support Group

Find compassionate care through the GriefShare support group at Millbrook Baptist in Aiken. Led by Lance Danko, this weekly gathering meets in the church library and offers prayerful encouragement for anyone navigating loss. There is no cost to attend, and all materials are provided. For easier access, use the rear entrance on the backside of the main building that contains the Worship Center. It also covers tax‑favored investing, including how to navigate tax rules and a six‑step Macro Balance Strategy aimed at improving retirement readiness and diversification. Money 101 highlights what clients commonly look for in financial planning, from setting savings goals and handling credit and debt to planning for college and getting started with investing, along with conversations about financial contracts. Additional lessons focus on the accumulation phase of saving and investing, practical insights for building portfolios, and strategies to keep what you have built, including methods for preserving wealth in retirement, evaluating different retirement risks, and considering the roles of variable and stable assets. Western Carolina Antique Tractor Pull

Antique tractors take center stage at Western Carolina State Fair Foundation during a pull and show presented by the Aiken Antique Power Association and the Palmetto Tractor Club. The program features an opening ceremony followed by the tractor pull, a children's pedal tractor pull, and additional activities for kids throughout the day. Admission is $10 for adults ages 12 and older, and children younger than 12 are admitted free. Cash only is accepted. Event T-shirts will be available, along with food and craft vendors, antiques to browse, and a tractor parts vendor. Proceeds benefit the Children's Hospital of Augusta, Georgia.

Komyo Reiki Do Shoden First Degree Training

Rooted in Japanese tradition, Reiki Ryoho is a spiritual healing practice dedicated to cultivating inner peace. This first degree, or Shoden, training introduces the foundations needed to practice personally and to offer care to close family, friends, and pets. The curriculum explores the history of Reiki and its traditional Japanese approach, presents the Five Reiki Principles, teaches meditation methods within the system, and provides practical guidance for self healing. Participants also receive reiju, an attunement that supports their practice. The class emphasizes each person’s individual healing journey, and the teacher-student relationship is treated as a meaningful partnership with support that continues after the course.

Equine Health and Emergency First Aid (Dragonfly Farm) Private Class Only

Spend a full day building practical equine health and emergency first aid skills with hands-on work alongside horses. Learn how to relay critical information to a veterinarian, help a horse accept care, take accurate vital signs, and respond to situations such as cuts, punctures, colic, choke, collapse, casting, shock, and hoof problems. The class also covers recognizing pain, common sources and ways to relieve it, spinal health, and strategies to prevent injuries, with ample time for guided practice. Participants receive a certificate of completion and a comprehensive first aid manual, and this course serves as the required foundation before the advanced level. Please bring a portable chair, a notebook with a pen or pencil, and a packed lunch so the group can remain on site. Snacks and water are provided. Open to ages 15 and up, enrollment is limited to around 12 people to ensure plenty of hands-on participation. The fee is $169 per person, with payment accepted via Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, or PayPal. Registered attendees receive individualized information about the day’s layout shortly beforehand.

Hitchcock Woods Bluebird Box Monitoring Field Trip

Explore the world of bluebirds on a guided field outing with the Hitchcock Woods Foundation and the South Carolina Bluebird Society. Participants will move between nest boxes, record observations at each site, and contribute those findings to broader community science efforts focused on nesting behavior and habitat use. Registration is required, and carpooling is encouraged to reduce parking demand. For comfort and safety, consider wearing sturdy walking or hiking shoes and bring sunscreen, a hat, water, and snacks. Binoculars and a camera are also helpful for spotting and documenting activity. Hitchcock Woods, located in Aiken, South Carolina, spans 2,100 acres and features 70 miles of trails through mature pine and bottomland hardwood forests that support a wide range of plants and wildlife. The property is owned and managed by the Hitchcock Woods Foundation, is protected in perpetuity by a conservation easement held by the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, and is designated as a South Carolina Heritage Preserve Trust site.

This memorial motorcycle ride honors Scotty Richardson and Sandy Rogers. Registration and the start take place at Aiken Motorcycle, and the ride concludes at Joe’s in New Ellenton.

Class of 2026 Graduation & Induction Ceremony

Graduating seniors of the Successteam Youth Council are recognized alongside newly inducted scholars at a combined graduation and induction ceremony at the USC Aiken Etherredge Center. The program also honors the inaugural graduating class of the Pre-Scholar Readiness Academy, with a formal welcome for the next class of incoming Successteam Youth Council scholars. Students from more than 25 schools and two Successteam Youth Council chapters come together for one major celebration. Both the graduates and inductees mark a milestone as the first groups to cross a Successteam stage in the new decade. Brahms & Schumann

At USC Aiken Etherredge Center, Japanese violinist Risa Hokamura, known for a style that blends power with nuance, performs the Violin Concerto by Brahms. Once regarded as nearly unplayable for its technical demands, the concerto was written for Brahms’s friend Joseph Joachim, a leading virtuoso of his time and owner of the Stradivarius on which Hokamura will play. The program also includes Robert Schumann’s Rhenish Symphony, creating a Romantic-era pairing of concerto and symphony.

GriefShare Support Group

GriefShare at Millbrook Baptist in Aiken offers a compassionate, faith-centered support group for people walking through loss. Facilitated by Lance Danko, it is free to attend and materials are provided. Meetings take place each week in the church library, with entry through the rear doors behind the main building that houses the Worship Center. Each session is self-contained, so attendance can begin at any point. Registration is available online. The group provides prayerful support with an emphasis on comfort and strength during a difficult season.

40th Annual Jernigan Memorial Golf Tournament

Registration takes place first, followed by a shotgun start. Participation supports a Piedmont Augusta initiative that expands access to low-dose CT, or LDCT, lung cancer screening for people who are underinsured or uninsured and for those with limited access to preventive care. Detecting lung cancer early with LDCT can improve survival and reduce long-term treatment costs. Support helps cover the cost of the screening, physician interpretation and follow-up visits, care coordination and navigation, and education about lung health and screening.

Night Out presents Screen Sanity

A community evening created for parents and kids features two parallel experiences. Children take part in Kidz Creek, a lively program with games, activities, and attentive care in a safe setting. At the same time, parents settle into guided table conversations about technology and family life, connecting with others and gathering practical strategies for handling screens at home. Dinner is provided. Parents enjoy a backyard-style cookout with burgers and hotdogs, and children are served hotdogs during their program. This is not a drop-off occasion. Parents remain on campus and participate as part of the night. Open to anyone in the community with children from birth through 12th grade, as well as individuals with disabilities of any age. Space is limited. Cost is $10 per adult and $5 per child or individual with a disability.

Great Oak Volunteer Training

Radioactive Monthly Dose Pinball Tournament

Radioactive Pinball Arcade hosts a monthly IFPA rated pinball tournament built around competitive group match play. Players complete six rounds of group play, then, depending on turnout, either the top 16 or the top 8 advance to quarterfinal and semifinal rounds with two games in each round. The final four competitors meet in a two game final to determine placements. Admission is $20 and includes access to the arcade with all machines on free play. The tournament fee is $10, which is paid into a cash prize pool for the top four finishers, and the arcade covers the IFPA one dollar fee.

The Aiken Bluegrass Series

Bluegrass returns to Stable View with a series of three concerts that the local community has come to love. Each evening showcases three bands, blending touring and regional performers in a relaxed setting. Performances are planned for the open air outside the Pavilion, and if the weather shifts, the music moves indoors with seating provided. Guests are welcome to bring lawn chairs or blankets for outdoor shows. On-site food is available from The Bistro at Stable View, and beer and wine are served at Ollie’s Inn. Set at Stable View Farm, this summer camp offers riders a week focused on fun, confidence building, new friendships, and memorable experiences. Participation requires a non-refundable $350 deposit at registration, submission of the Application/Entry Form and two of the three required waivers to Joanne, and arranging housing either through her or independently. The Application/Entry Form is required for all participants, and waivers are required for Stable View, GDCTA, and USEA, with the Stable View waiver completed electronically.
