Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia hosts the annual S’morevivor Team Challenge at Girl Scout Camp Tanglewood, transforming the camp into an open house with hands-on activities and a spirited competition. Teams of four move from station to station to try outdoor skills such as canoeing, archery, and the low ropes course, blending problem solving with physical challenges. Entry is $125 per team and includes an exclusive S’morevivor buff for every participant. S’morevivor is open to the entire CSRA, welcoming businesses, families, military personnel, troops, and friend groups to build camaraderie in a fun, challenging, and competitive setting. Three divisions, corporate, community, and Girl Scout troop, recognize top performers with prizes and trophies. The first place corporate team also earns a large trophy engraved with the winning business name to display for a year. The Columbia County Chess Association presents a monthly tournament that contributes to a season-long Chess League. Each event offers four Swiss-style rounds with a G/35 time control and a 5-second increment, held at the Columbia County Library. Participants can play in as many league events as they prefer and accumulate points over the season. At Miller Theater, Karlous Miller delivers the sharp, unfiltered stand-up that grew out of his Mississippi roots. Raised in a large blended family with eight siblings, he later served as a firefighter in Oxford before moving to Atlanta in 2005 with one goal in mind... to make people laugh. Since then he has become a distinctive force in comedy across stage and screen. A veteran of MTV’s Wild ’N Out with Nick Cannon, he has also been seen on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, MTV’s Joking Off, MTV2’s Uncommon Sense, BET’s Comic View, Bill Bellamy’s Who’s Got Jokes, and HBO’s All Def Comedy. His 30 minute stand-up special appeared on Kevin Hart’s Laugh Out Loud Network, he guest starred on Family Time for Bounce TV, co hosted What’s My Secret? on MTV, and co starred in the horror comedy feature Haunted Heist with Lil Rel Howery and Tiffany Haddish, a film that debuted to critical acclaim. Known for selling out shows nationwide, he recently completed his solo tour, At the End of the Day.
