Spend an intimate evening of jazz as Charleston pianist Nolan Tecklenburg leads his trio in a ColaJazz Loft Sessions performance that blends New Orleans soul, modern jazz, and spontaneous interplay. A graduate of Loyola University New Orleans, Tecklenburg immersed himself in the city’s music scene, leading his group NuSpeak at venues such as Tipitina’s and appearing at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. He is now a sought-after Charleston pianist and tours nationally with Big Something. The ColaJazz Loft Sessions unfold in Columbia’s dedicated listening room, an intimate loft where the audience sits just a few feet from the musicians and each set has its own character. Seating is intentionally limited to preserve a focused, classic jazz club vibe with a Columbia twist. Tickets are $29 for ColaJazz members, $35 for non-members, and $15 for students. Admission includes three drink tickets and light bites.

Homemade Haircuts, a four piece indie rock band from Columbia, South Carolina, began as a bedroom recording project and shaped an effervescent live sound through years of touring the Southeast. The group’s brash new chapter includes the single "Clown," which pivots from their usual melancholy to blend societal observations with flatulence jokes and circus themes. The music embraces bolder tones and crisper production influenced by producer Tommy Trautwein, turning "Clown" into both a reply to naysayers and a statement of the unorthodox confidence needed to chase one's dreams.
