The instructor is from Cali, Colombia, with early training in ballet and contemporary dance alongside explorations in butoh, Afro rhythms, folklore, and salsa. Professional work as a tango dancer and teacher began in 2010, with formation grounded in the Sistema Dinzel created by Rodolfo and Gloria Dinzel, emphasizing improvisation, technique, musicality, expression, communication, and movement dynamics. Studies and teaching experience include Studio Dinzel and C.E.T.B.A., where the instructor completed the Tango Instructor program in 2011, as well as Escuela Mundial de Tango GE and major events such as the Festival y Mundial de Tango de Buenos Aires. Invitations to teach, perform, and serve on juries have included festivals and competitions in Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Uruguay, Mexico, and the United States. Now based in Chattanooga, the instructor offers a thoughtful approach that highlights structure, musical nuance, connection, and improvisation to support each dancer’s development.
