Using paint and straightforward methods, participants press those textures onto paper to create unique prints. Godspell arrives at Packard Playhouse with a small troupe bringing the parables of the Gospel of Matthew to life through Stephen Schwartz’s celebrated score. Audiences will hear favorites such as Day by Day, Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord, and Light of the World as the story moves from playful to heartbreaking to joyous. It traces how strangers come together as a community and discover the light of Christ. Presented at Packard Playhouse over two weekends.

The Wentzel Brothers present a lively mix of covers and original songs, keeping the music upbeat throughout the show. The set features familiar tunes alongside their own material.

Colorado Springs brothers Andy and Aaron Mayer lead a two-day cottonwood bark carving class built on years of experience. Introduced to carving in 2006, they began teaching in 2017, have shared their craft across the central U.S., and have been featured multiple times in Woodcarving Illustrated while earning several top competition awards. Participants choose between two projects. Shape a bark cottage by fitting together two pieces for a near seamless result, with time permitting to add a tree for extra character. Or take on a bark church that begins with a pre-cut blank, then learn techniques to add custom details using personal ideas or the reference photos provided. The church option is more challenging, even for seasoned carvers, and is intended to elevate skills. Please bring a carving knife, a safety glove, a 3/32 v-tool, a needle file set, a pin vise with small drill bits, 1/8 in and 1/4 in number 1 chisels, and a 5/16 number 7 U-gouge. For the church project, also bring a ruler, a drafter’s compass, and a large metal file. A needle file set can be purchased from the instructor for $10. The fee for this two-day class is $130 per person, plus $20 to $25 for bark. Enrollment ranges from a minimum of 5 to a maximum of 10 students. Payment is by check made payable to Leipers Fork Woodcarving Club, and registration is secured once the class fee has been received.

Certified Ross Instructor Quintin Burlingame guides painters of all experience levels through the Bob Ross Wet-on-Wet technique. Participants will complete an oil landscape featuring a barn on a 12x16 canvas, inspired by Season 20, Episode 10 of The Joy of Painting. All supplies needed to finish the painting are provided by the instructor. Open to ages 11 and up, with a recommendation for ages 13 and older.

Jerzee Dogs will be on Columbia Square for a benefit supporting aMuse’um Children’s Museum. This is a ticketed gathering, and only donors with a valid ticket may attend and enjoy the food. Funds raised will support aMuse’um, a nonprofit in Columbia that nurtures imaginative play and learning through hands-on exhibits for young children. The museum offers daily play sessions, weekly programs such as art and storytelling, birthday parties, and special events, serving as a hub for local families and the downtown community. It also participates in Museums for All, offering reduced admission for EBT, SNAP, and WIC cardholders.

Hyden Beach hosts an Under the Lights AVPA King and Queen of the Court tournament with divisions for A/BB intermediate and AA/A intermediate to advanced players. Cousins Maine Lobster brings its food truck to Tractor Supply Company in Thompson’s Station with a lineup of Maine lobster favorites. Orders can be placed at the truck, and mobile app ordering is available for same-day posted events. The app typically opens at least an hour before each truck service after the previous event finishes, and purchases through the app can earn points that can be redeemed for rewards. The third season of Adventurer's League at Muletown Hobbies and Games sets out into Dungeon of the Mad Mage. The journey begins in Waterdeep at the Yawning Portal, where a deep pit leads to Undermountain, the domain of the mad wizard Halaster Blackcloak. Within this sprawling maze wait monsters, perilous traps, and long-hidden mysteries. Only six seats are available. A complimentary Session 0 is required to participate. Sessions 1 through 8 are $15 each. The season culminates in a tournament with a $20 buy-in, and the winner receives a store gift card. Payment can be made per session or for the full run, and proceeds support the DM’s time and services.

Outside of work she is an artist and lifelong learner who enjoys traveling, with a strong interest in creativity, personal growth, and how people turn ideas into meaningful outcomes. The session offers a dynamic exchange of perspectives, with participant input playing a key role in strengthening the local retail and restaurant ecosystem.
