    Earn the training and certification required to apply for the Tennessee Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit in a state‑inspected and certified indoor range and classroom. The Enhanced Permit allows carry in more places than the Concealed Carry Permit or under Tennessee permitless carry, and it is recognized in 38 states, which makes it well suited for travel. Graduates receive the class certification needed for the permit application. The course runs a minimum of six hours, not including lunch, and participants are asked to arrive 15 minutes early for check‑in. The class is open to individuals 16 or older, though you must be 18 to obtain the permit, and both applications and class certifications expire twelve months from your class date. Frontier Firearms is ADA compliant and can accommodate a variety of needs. For safety reasons, late pregnancy shooters are not permitted. Classes may be rescheduled if fewer than five students register. Tickets are on sale with a $20 discount. The Standard Ticket is $80, now $60, and includes instruction, day‑of range fees, use of eye and ear protection, targets, pizza for lunch, a complimentary one‑day range pass to use before or after class, and a $25 off coupon. The Premium Ticket is $95, now $75, and adds the use of a handgun with ammunition, a 22 caliber semi automatic pistol, to everything in the Standard Ticket. Educators and students save an additional $10 per ticket. A small processing fee from the ticketing platform applies to each purchase. The curriculum covers the permit qualification and application process, firearm safety and maintenance, state and federal laws related to handgun carry, when deadly force may be justified, and the criminal and civil ramifications of using deadly force. Range protocol and marksmanship are taught alongside handgun and ammunition fundamentals. Each student completes a short written exam and a live‑fire qualification in the indoor range, firing 50 rounds, with stages at 3, 5, and 7 yards. You are not required to shoot the same handgun you plan to carry. You may bring a 22LR pistol or revolver, or select the Premium Ticket to use a provided pistol with ammunition. Expect a relaxed, professional environment with nationally certified instructors, a safe and clean indoor range, ADA compliant classroom, range, and restrooms, a comfortable shooters’ lounge, and a bright classroom. Pizza is served for lunch, coffee is complimentary, and soda, bottled water, and snacks are available for purchase. Please complete the State Handgun Carry Permit application before class. Bring a valid driver’s license with your current address, a handgun in safe working condition with 50 rounds of factory ammunition unless you choose the Premium Ticket, comfortable clothing, and pencil and paper. Eye and ear protection are provided, and you may want to bring change for soft drinks and snacks. Refunds are available up to seven days before class, less the ticketing platform fee, or you may transfer to another class before the refund window closes. After that period, tickets are nonrefundable. If you miss class, you can request a discount code to purchase a makeup ticket at half of the current ticket price before any discount.

    Prepare for the Tennessee Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit with a state certified class that runs at least six hours and covers safe firearm handling, Tennessee carry regulations, when force may be lawfully used, and the legal responsibilities that come with carrying. Participants who meet the requirements and pass receive the documentation needed to apply for the permit. Advance registration with the state is required. Please bring a handgun, 50 rounds of ammunition, ID, safety gear, and clothing suitable for range training, and plan to pack snacks or a lunch. Firearms and ammunition are available to rent or purchase on site. To receive a full refund, cancel at least 48 hours before the class; cancellations within 48 hours are not refundable.
