Pasta & Champagne — An Italian Date Night

Couples step into a warmly lit kitchen where the scent of simmering sauces fills the air and glasses catch the light. This interactive date night centers on Italian cooking, with a chef guiding every stage so partners can learn, laugh, and create side by side while Italian music sets an inviting mood. The evening opens with a chilled champagne toast, then moves into hands-on pasta making as pairs mix, knead, roll, and cut fresh dough into silky fettuccine and tender ravioli. A rich vodka tomato cream sauce is prepared to coat the noodles, followed by a bistro-style take on chicken marsala with mushrooms, caramelized aromatics, and buttery depth. A crisp Caesar salad adds balance, dressed with parmesan, garlic, lemon, and crunchy croutons. For dessert, participants layer espresso-soaked ladyfingers with mascarpone and cocoa for a classic tiramisu. Throughout the class, couples collaborate with one another and with nearby pairs, pick up practical chef techniques to use at home, and finish by enjoying the full dinner they created together in a romantic, celebratory atmosphere.

Grass Co Ed Doubles

Coed doubles teams will start in mixed pool play, then the field splits into Upper and Lower brackets for seeded playoffs. With a limited number of nets, this approach helps build divisions that are both sizable and competitive for all participants. Juniors divisions are not offered for this tournament. Every team advances to the bracket, and playoffs are single elimination. In the Upper bracket, first place earns a cash prize and second place receives entry fees back. In the Lower bracket, the winners receive their entry fees back and second place takes home prizes. Registration is $35 per player, and the fee will rise after the stated deadline. To support fair play, registrations will be monitored to prevent sandbagging, and teams are expected to compete at the level of their strongest player. Divisions may close as the event nears to manage pool sizes, and a team list will be updated as signups come in. The Wilson Optix is the official tournament ball, and playoff teams in a division may unanimously agree to switch to a different ball. Food is not included with registration, so bring what you need and plenty of water. There will be a check in and a players meeting before matches begin, and registered players will receive an email with final details ahead of time.

Advanced Open Water

At Alpha Divers, the Advanced Open Water course is designed to build on the Open Water Diver certification and help divers gain confidence through a variety of supervised Adventure Dives. Participants log real-world experience while trying different specialties under the guidance of an instructor. You and your instructor map out a path that includes five Adventure Dives. Deep and Underwater Navigation are required, then you select three more based on your interests. The deep segment focuses on planning for greater depths and handling the effects and challenges of diving deeper. The navigation segment refines compass skills and introduces practical techniques like counting kick cycles, using natural landmarks and timing your swim. Additional dives can explore areas such as buoyancy tuning, underwater photography, fish identification and wreck exploration, and each Adventure Dive may count toward the first dive of the related Specialty Diver course. Open Water Divers, including Junior divers who are at least 12, are eligible. Younger divers have limits on which Adventure Dives they can complete, so options should be confirmed with an instructor. The schedule spans 2 or 3 days... day one centers on knowledge development and paperwork, day two includes three open water dives and day three adds two more open water dives.
