Beesley Animal Foundation offers a quarterly pet food distribution to help families keep their cats and dogs nourished and healthy. Community generosity makes this possible, with support from local businesses and advocacy groups, and since 2016 the program has provided more than 52,500 pounds of pet food throughout Middle Tennessee. Distribution takes place rain or shine. Donations of sealed, unexpired pet food are accepted Monday to Thursday to sustain this outreach.

The last Friday Night Live of the summer features a free concert at Murfreesboro Square in downtown Murfreesboro. Mixtape, an 80s tribute band and longtime favorite, wraps up the season with sing along anthems and dance ready hits from the decade of big hair. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the music with friends.

CFTA’s Teen Company presents 13 The Musical, following Evan Goldman as he moves from fast-paced preteen life in New York City to a quiet Indiana town after his parents divorce. At a new middle school with its cliques and social rules, he tries to claim a place in the popularity ladder, unsure whether he will fit in or be left with the outcasts. The story traces his efforts to belong while he navigates friendships and the pressures of popularity.

Experience the Show Me Reptile Show, a traveling expo that touts itself as the largest and most diverse reptile event in the country. It blends education, fun, and hands-on discovery for all ages, welcoming longtime reptile enthusiasts, aspiring keepers, and anyone curious about exotic animals. Expect a wide range of reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates, and small exotic mammals, along with aquatics, plants and bioactive supplies. Vendors and breeders also offer feeders, enclosures, equipment, décor, and other care essentials. Attendees who are not ready to bring home a new pet can simply explore, learn from experts, take photos, ask questions, and connect with the community behind the hobby. General admission is available in advance through the Show Me Reptiles app or site at $12 for adults and $5 for ages 7 to 12, with children 6 and under admitted free. At the door, adults are $15 and ages 7 to 12 are $5, with children 6 and under still free. A VIP pass is $17 in advance or $20 at the door and includes early entry, plus free admission on the second day at two-day shows. All ages are welcome.
