Many people swap by piece count or brand, yet you are free to set your own terms and decline any trade. The Extra Mile® is a community celebration presented by DSAMT that honors individuals with Down syndrome and their families while encouraging broader understanding and acceptance. Promoted as the state’s largest Down syndrome awareness event, it also serves as a primary fundraiser for DSAMT’s programs. Every dollar raised for DSAMT, including through The Extra Mile®, stays in Middle Tennessee, and there is no requirement to share funds with national organizations. NASA returns to Nashville Superspeedway for the third and final track day event of 2026, a championship weekend that gives drivers the chance to take their own cars onto the same circuit used by NASCAR professionals in a controlled environment. The program blends skill building and competition with Test and Tune, qualifying, HPDE sessions, Competition School, and a four hour TREC endurance race. Participants can choose from Competition School, an Instructor Clinic, TREC endurance racing that includes a four hour race and a three hour practice session, Wheel to Wheel Racing, and Time Trial. HPDE options span from an Intro course for first timers to HPDE 1 with an assigned instructor, then HPDE 2 through 4 for progressively advanced, solo driving where point by passing expands with experience. HPDE Intro uses classroom time and a gradual lead follow familiarization run to build confidence over several sessions, with the goal of preparing drivers for HPDE 1 at a future event. Supersize choices are available for extra seat time in Time Trial or HPDE. Garage rental includes a new parking approach compared with the prior year. Instructor registration is new for 2026 and pairs with HPDE 4 or Time Trial through a dedicated line item to qualify for rewards. Transponder rentals are available for HPDE 3 and 4, Time Trial, and Wheel to Wheel competitors.
