This weekly Nashville farmers market operates on an urban farm and is the city's only market of its kind. It is led by growers who came to the United States with refugee status. This program honors guitarist and arranger John Jorgenson, highlighting a career that helped recharge country music through his work with the Desert Rose Band and as a busy session musician. Raised in Redlands, California, in a musical household, he learned piano, clarinet, ukulele, and guitar before his teens and began performing professionally at Disneyland. Immersed in southern California’s rockabilly and country circles, he co-founded the Desert Rose Band with Chris Hillman, released five albums between 1987 and 1993, and earned seven Top Ten singles, including the chart-toppers "He's Back and I'm Blue" and "I Still Believe in You." He later formed the Hellecasters with Jerry Donahue and Will Ray, releasing three albums built around a three-guitar frontline. As a session player, he contributed to recordings by Mary Chapin Carpenter, Carlene Carter, Kenny Chesney, John Prine, Bonnie Raitt, and others. He also worked as musical director for the television shows Hot Country Nights and ABC’s Delta, received the Academy of Country Music’s Guitarist of the Year award in 1990, 1991, and 1992, joined Elton John’s band for live performances and studio projects, and leads the John Jorgenson Quintet. Jon Freeman from the Museum serves as host, with visuals and audio selections enriching the conversation. A signing of commemorative Hatch Show Print posters with Jorgenson follows. The route features icons such as the Statue of Liberty, Tennessee’s Great Smoky Mountains, and the Golden Gate Bridge. Each structure is a miniature piece of botanical architecture, crafted by hand from natural materials like willow, cedar, acorn caps, moss, pinecones, and bark. Built by Applied Imagination, this special traveling exhibition is set within the Bradford Robertson Color Garden for a limited engagement. Cheekwood’s permanent TRAINS! exhibit remains open year-round for additional train viewing.

Set out from Hamilton Creek Sailboat Marina for an evening paddle timed to the sunset. The route heads across Percy Priest Lake to Luau Island, where participants can relax on shore, enjoy snacks and drinks they bring, and take a swim before returning. This is a bring-your-own-boat outing, so each person must supply a kayak or stand up paddleboard and a water safe light or headlamp. The return trip will be under a new moon, so conditions will be very dark and a functioning kayak light is required for visibility on the way back to the marina.
