America the Beautiful: National Parks & Landmarks by Rail

Cheekwood’s summer railroad experience marks the United States’ 250th anniversary with an immersive journey across the country in miniature. Ten operating trains wind along over 850 feet of track, passing twenty five notable landmarks in the most expansive layout Cheekwood has presented so far. Highlights include the Statue of Liberty, Tennessee’s Great Smoky Mountains, and the Golden Gate Bridge. Each scene features hand built models formed from natural materials such as willow branches, cedar, acorn caps, moss, pinecones, bark, and more, creating plant based architectural details. America the Beautiful, a traveling model train exhibition by Applied Imagination, is installed in the Bradford Robertson Color Garden for a limited engagement. The permanent TRAINS! exhibit at Cheekwood also remains open throughout the year.

Giovanni Rodriguez & 12 Manos

A high-energy night of salsa dancing led by multi-instrumentalist Giovanni Rodríguez, a fixture of Nashville’s salsa and jazz community. The band delivers salsa, bachata, and rhythm-forward grooves with seasoned veterans of the local Latin scene. The lineup features Rodríguez on timbales and vocals, Melvin Macias on piano and vocals, Yosvany Cordero on conga and bongo, Michael S. Morton on flute and vocals, and Isoel Villarrubia on bass. Josh Blue delivers a dynamic stand-up set from a comic who first broke through by winning Last Comic Standing in 2006 and has since headlined venues around the world. In 2018 he impressed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, appeared at the William H. Macy Gala at the Just for Laughs festival in Montreal, and closed the year by taping his fifth hour-long special, Broccoli, at his home club Comedy Works in Denver. After earning third place on NBC's America's Got Talent in 2021, he launched the As NOT Seen on TV Tour and now performs more than 200 shows each year. His material keeps evolving and his off-the-cuff style means every show feels different, all while challenging stereotypes about people with disabilities. TNT Billiards Bar and Grill hosts a multi-event Golden Tee stop featuring an $8,000 added main event, all played on PGAGT pedestals with 2026 courses, including any redesigned layouts. The venue offers a spacious, non smoking room for competition. The schedule includes a Closest to the Pin warmup with a $20 entry, and Power Events contributes an additional $5 per entrant to the prize pool. A blind draw doubles tournament pairs A and B players using qualifying and is played on classic courses with double elimination, 18 holes on the winners side and 9 on the losers side, a $35 entry per person, and $5 from each entry donated to charity. The tournament director may switch both sides to 9 holes depending on turnout and pace of play. A handicapped match play event follows, seeded by each player’s Golden Tee handicap, single elimination, and serving as a satellite qualifier for the main event, with a $30 entry and a valid Golden Tee ID required. The main event features a five course qualifier that selects five of nine courses at random. The top 32 advance to the Championship Bracket, while the remaining players move into Purple, Pink, or Copper brackets. East Nashville Facebook Page: The Musical returns with an even wilder spin, playfully roasting the neighborhood’s fiercest debates, including itself. In its fourth year, this partially improvised mix of musical theater and sketch comedy pulls from real posts gathered over the past twelve months, so returning audiences get mostly new material every time. Now an unofficial Tomato Art Fest weekend tradition, it has grown from sold-out nights at Riverside Revival to a new run at Eastside Bowl, with special surprise guests planned for each performance. You do not need to be in the group or live in East Nashville to enjoy it, though locals who eat, shop, and argue about the best tacos will find plenty to recognize. A fan once described it as a heartfelt nod to the neighborhood and its shared quirks. Doors open one hour before showtime. All tickets are seated, and reserved table seats place two people at small cabaret tables at the front of the venue. Created and directed by Emma Supica with musical direction by Alex Dolezal, and presented by Kindling Arts and Cherry Bomb. This event is open to all ages, with a recommendation of 16 and up. Set in Historic East Nashville’s Five Points, this two day celebration centers on the beloved tomato as a symbol of unity between fruits and vegetables. The festival is free to attend, welcoming to all ages, and brimming with art, live music, food, playful costumes, contests, shopping, and activities for kids. Performances fill the 37206 Main Stage presented by Busch Light with Tobacco Road, Jarren Blair, Girl Tones, The Foxies, Threegon, Massie99, Wild Bill & The Bruisers, Raygun, JT Loux, Waxed, and Moga Family Band. The 11th St. Stage presented by Publix Super Markets features The FBR, Eva Cassel, Lonesome Joy, Abbdavv, Gremlins, Chrysalis, and the Battle of the Vine winner. The Tennessee Titans host the Blue & White Stadium Scrimmage, presented by Pinnacle, a complimentary family friendly practice session open to the public at Nissan Stadium. It marks the team’s final full-stadium practice in the current venue and features a live team scrimmage that concludes with a fireworks display. Admission requires reserving a free ticket through SeatGeek. Season Ticket Members can purchase parking for $5 in Lots E, K, P, R, and T, with passes required in advance and proceeds benefiting the Titans Foundation. Entry is available at Gates 3 and 9. Attendees can watch a Training Camp practice and explore concourse activities that include discounted concessions, photo opportunities, tailgate-style games, inflatables, and more. Trained at Second City, he has multiple viral videos on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, and his screen credits include TBS The Very Funny Show, Last Comic Standing, 30 Seconds to Fame, and Stand Up Live Nashville seasons 1 and 2. He also makes a brief appearance in the 2003 MGM film Out of Time with Denzel Washington. His album "I'm Not Well" debuted in the top three on iTunes and Amazon. A veteran of clubs, colleges, corporate functions, and comedy festivals, he has earned wins at the Comedy 10K as well as the Laughlin, San Diego, and Antelope Valley Comedy Festivals. A powerhouse bill brings Jimmy Hall & The Prisoners of Love featuring Kenny Greenberg and Jack Ruch, with SMC with Ryan & Alex Hall and Chris Smith. Jimmy Hall first rose to prominence as the lead vocalist, saxophonist, and harmonica player for Wet Willie from Mobile, Alabama. The band’s signature song Keep on Smilin reached the Top 10 on the Billboard singles chart in 1974. After seven albums with Capricorn Records, Wet Willie moved to Epic Records and scored Top 40 hits with Street Corner Serenade and Weekend, while five additional songs reached the Billboard Top 100. Hall is a member of the Alabama and Georgia Music Halls of Fame and the South Carolina Beach Music Hall of Fame. His career includes global touring as lead vocalist of the Jeff Beck band and a long tenure as band leader for the Hank Williams Jr. band, along with frequent guest spots with the Allman Betts Family Revival, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Blackberry Smoke and others. In 2021 he received Grammy recognition in the Best Gospel Roots Album category as a featured guest on the Fisk Jubilee Singers album Celebrating Fisk! for his performance of I Saw the Light. His solo release Ready Now arrived in 2022 on Keeping the Blues Alive Records, produced by Joe Bonamassa, and reached number one on the Billboard Blues Albums chart. Highlights from 2025 included a Japanese all star Jeff Beck tribute concert in Tokyo with Char, HOTEI and Tak Matsumoto that featured Hall on lead vocals with The Jeff Beck Band alongside Rhonda Smith, Anika Nilles and Gary Husband. From summer through fall of 2025 into spring 2026 he returned to the studio and the road with Devon Allman for The Devon Allman Project BLUES SUMMIT. In 2026 B.B. Pasta alla Norma Pasta-Making Class

Rooted in the volcanic soils surrounding Mount Etna, Pasta alla Norma is a hallmark of Sicilian cooking that grew from Catania’s farming traditions and takes its name from Vincenzo Bellini’s opera. In Yolan’s kitchen, participants shape fresh pasta by hand while exploring the dish’s essentials... tomato, fried eggplant, basil, and ricotta salata. Each person heads home with the pasta they made, along with techniques and recipes to recreate it in their own kitchen. After the lesson, a relaxed three-course lunch features a seasonal salad, Pasta alla Norma prepared by Yolan’s culinary team, dessert, and wine pairings. The experience is $175 per person and includes interactive instruction, take-home pasta, the full lunch, and paired wines. Capacity is limited, and reservations are necessary.

Nashville Cats: Salute to Musician John Jorgenson

This program honors guitarist and arranger John Jorgenson, highlighting a career that helped recharge country music through his work with the Desert Rose Band and as a busy session musician. Raised in Redlands, California, in a musical household, he learned piano, clarinet, ukulele, and guitar before his teens and began performing professionally at Disneyland. Immersed in southern California’s rockabilly and country circles, he co-founded the Desert Rose Band with Chris Hillman, released five albums between 1987 and 1993, and earned seven Top Ten singles, including the chart-toppers "He's Back and I'm Blue" and "I Still Believe in You." He later formed the Hellecasters with Jerry Donahue and Will Ray, releasing three albums built around a three-guitar frontline. As a session player, he contributed to recordings by Mary Chapin Carpenter, Carlene Carter, Kenny Chesney, John Prine, Bonnie Raitt, and others. He also worked as musical director for the television shows Hot Country Nights and ABC’s Delta, received the Academy of Country Music’s Guitarist of the Year award in 1990, 1991, and 1992, joined Elton John’s band for live performances and studio projects, and leads the John Jorgenson Quintet. Jon Freeman from the Museum serves as host, with visuals and audio selections enriching the conversation. A signing of commemorative Hatch Show Print posters with Jorgenson follows. The program takes place in the Ford Theater. Admission is included with Museum entry, a program ticket is required, and Museum members receive free entry. In regular coed 4s, play is on a men's net and teams must include two men and two women. This weekly Nashville farmers market operates on an urban farm and is the city's only market of its kind. It is led by growers who came to the United States with refugee status. For 12 years these farmers have nourished local families through a CSA and supplied ingredients to leading restaurants across the city. Fossil Finders

A volunteer geologist leads a guided exploration of the fossil collection area beside the visitors center. Participants learn about Nashville’s 400 million year old marine fossils and may take a few specimens home. Registration is requested. The park is currently under construction as part of Master Plan Phase 1. The half mile trail remains open, and construction vehicles may be present occasionally. Access to the historic fort at the top of the hill is closed and is expected to reopen in late summer. The visitors center is open during normal hours, with any brief access interruptions shared on Facebook and Instagram. Parking is very limited, so consider carpooling if possible.

This reserved-seat excursion runs between Nashville and Watertown and back, using stainless steel passenger cars with heating and air conditioning that reflect the experience of American rail travel in the late 1940s and 1950s. Rumors say the Mackle and Wilson gangs plan to hold up the train on the way to Watertown and might even cause trouble in town. Riders can see how the story unfolds with action in and around Watertown, including the possibility of a shootout involving a U.S. Marshal and the Mackle-Wilson gangs. It is designed to be an experience the whole family can enjoy. All seating is reserved. Refreshments and souvenirs are available on board. Tickets are nonrefundable and cannot be exchanged, and a convenience fee may apply. Prices are $35 for children under 12, $60 for coach or diner seats, $100 for premier coach for adults only, and $120 for dome seats.
