The McKinney Classic is a PDGA A-tier disc golf tournament featuring three rounds across two days. The schedule includes two shotgun-start rounds on day one, followed by a final round with assigned tee times on day two. Amateur divisions are trophy-only with a modified payout, and professional divisions include a minimum of $3,000 in added cash. Podium finishers, first through third in divisions with more than six competitors, will receive their trophies at the course headquarters where they complete their final round. Trophies are not shipped and must be picked up in person. Details about the full amateur player pack will be revealed at player check-in during the week of the tournament. To guarantee the full pack, register by the stated deadline; later registrants will receive a voucher equal to the retail value of any items that are unavailable. Course layouts and rule sheets will be shared once finalized so competitors can practice in advance. Instruction is rooted in the classic Rider Waite Tarot, and for consistency learners are encouraged to bring a Rider Waite based deck. This in person workshop takes place at DFW Crystals.
