This drop-off event for ages 6 to 12 includes a guided art project and other creative activities. Kids will have pizza, snacks, and drinks, with music and games adding to a lively, welcoming studio atmosphere. Darrell Scott

Darrell Scott brings his multi-instrumental talents and evocative songwriting to St. Joseph’s Church for a debut performance. His music finds meaning in everyday moments, pairing plainspoken honesty with melodies that resonate long after the last note. His path includes touring with Robert Plant and the Zac Brown Band for two years each, producing records for Malcolm Holcombe and Guy Clark, and receiving Songwriter of the Year honors from both ASCAP and NSAI. Away from the stage, he spends time on his Tennessee acreage, cooks with ingredients he grows himself, hikes beside a small river, leads songwriting workshops, and stays immersed in writing, producing, and performing. Tickets are non-refundable. GalvestonHistory+ benefits include early entry and a post-show meet and greet. Seating is general admission, and there is no reserved seating. A limited Entrance and Print Package is available for $65, which includes a commemorative print ready for pickup upon arrival. The Texas Music Office has recognized Galveston as a Music Friendly Texas Certified Community, a designation that supports the music industry and acknowledges the city’s strong artistic heritage.
