Riders can choose from 26, 45, 100k, and 100-mile distances. The 100-mile option is self-guided, the 64-mile route is a drop ride paced around 19 to 21 mph with VeloSouth, the 45-mile route is a drop ride paced around 16 to 18 mph with Jim Rose, and the 26-mile route is a no-drop ride paced around 14 to 16 mph with Trek Advocates. Participants are encouraged to pick the distance that matches their current fitness, download the course files to a cycling computer in advance, and give their bike a thorough pre-ride check. Support and gear will help with mechanical issues on the road, but it does not provide pick ups for riders who cannot keep pace. Bikes should be fully functional, and helmets and lights are required for a smooth rollout.
