Nasher Sculpture Center, 2001 Flora St, Dallas · verified Oct 11
    Free

‘til Midnight at the Nasher transforms the Nasher Sculpture Center into an evening destination with free admission, outdoor concerts, a movie under the night sky, rotating food and drink, and a rare chance to experience the art after hours. The music lineup features Caftan, a psychedelic Southern rock outfit that began as a collaboration between songwriters Cory Kosel and Jake Nice. A Dallas favorite, the band is preparing to release the full-length album Palimpsest, recorded at Niles City Sound in Fort Worth. Blues rocker and The Voice alum Danny Joseph follows with soulful vocals and a magnetic stage presence. The film selection is Practical Magic (1998), rated PG-13, centered on two sisters raised by their eccentric aunts who navigate small-town prejudice and a family curse that threatens their hopes for lasting love. The Cafe by Wolfgang Puck presents a seasonal menu. Potion Pumpkin Soup with brown butter, sage, pepitas, and crème fraîche is $13.50. Hearth Witch’s Flambée, a tart with Nueske’s bacon, foraged mushrooms, sweet onion, wild thyme, and ricotta, is $18.50. Bar service and quick grab-and-go snacks are also available, and offerings change from one installment to the next. Outside food, drinks, and furniture are not permitted, though blankets are welcome. See details

Leonid & Friends brings an 11-piece ensemble of top vocalists and instrumentalists to the stage under the direction of musician and producer Leonid Vorobyev. Launched as a studio project in Moscow, the group rose to international prominence when their impeccably faithful videos of Chicago classics took off online and earned compliments from members of Chicago. That momentum grew into extensive tours across North America, Europe, and Asia, a dedicated global following, sold-out U.S. runs, and more than half a billion combined video views. In concert, expect crisp horn lines, lush harmonies, and the driving spirit of rock and roll as the band delivers Chicago favorites like 25 or 6 to 4, Make Me Smile, Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is, Feelin’ Stronger Every Day, Beginnings, Questions 67 & 68, and Hard to Say I’m Sorry / Get Away. The set often reaches beyond Chicago with picks from Earth, Wind & Fire, Blood, Sweat & Tears, Steely Dan, The Carpenters, and other beloved ’70s artists. Each show feels less like a tribute and more like a lively celebration of the era’s sound and soul.
