Live music in McAllen, TX

Lunadas del Valle brings an evening of poetry, storytelling, music, and art to Vellichor Books and More in downtown Mission. This edition spotlights select members of the RGV Womens Poets Society as featured readers, with Paola Carrasco as emcee. Each writer will have 7 to 10 minutes to share their work, followed by an open mic, time permitting, with 5 minutes per participant. The featured musician and featured artist will be announced. Presented by the Seven To Eight Poetry Project, the gathering reflects the tradition of the Mexican lunada while adjusting to Rio Grande Valley heat by meeting indoors and at times outdoors. Admission is free, and guests are invited, though not required, to donate new or lightly used books to support Mission’s only independent bookstore.

American doom metal band Pallbearer will take the stage at The Gremlin, joined by special guest Slowhole. Tickets will be available for purchase.

Omar Courtz is performing live at Payne Arena in Hidalgo, TX. The show is scheduled to start at 8:00 PM.
