This make and take session is designed for beginners and focuses on simple techniques you can finish in a single session. It is suitable for new and aspiring sewists, whether attending solo or with a beginner in your life. Please bring three fat quarters. Instruction is led by Kris Stevenson. The fee is $20. This workshop is offered every other month on the second Saturday.

An evening of floating with fun inflatables, with personal inflatables welcome, snacks, and live music from a DJ, plus activities for all ages and abilities, will close out the summer at the Frisco Athletic Center Water Park. Admission is free for FAC Members and Splash Pass holders. Event passes are $7 for youth and $9 for adults, and they provide access to the water park only during the event.

This six week summer sewing and stitching series at Jump Into Art Studios welcomes ages 7 to 18 and is taught by Miss Sarah. Early lessons focus on the basics with an embroidery hoop to practice threading a needle and the running stitch, along with a sewing machine practice sheet to learn how to use the presser foot, turn corners, and build comfort at the machine. Students then choose from two beginner projects, such as a pencil roll or a drawstring bag, and move forward at their own pace. All materials are provided. The studio cat, JoJo, may stop by for friendly inspections and a few pets. Sessions take place on the second floor. There is no elevator, and the teacher can assist anyone who needs help with the stairs.

Extend the summer feeling after class with a hands-on, watermelon-themed sensory activity at Frisco Commons Park. Young children will create their own soft, squeezable sensory bags that encourage tactile exploration and spark creativity. It offers extra playtime with friends following the workout, with the FIT4MOM community coming together to get a little messy, make something fun, and enjoy time together.

Enjoy a live trivia night at The Common Table that is open to all ages and free to play. Teams can be anywhere from one to six players, and prizes are awarded to the top three teams. Seating is first come, first served. Each team needs only one smart device to submit answers, so make sure it is fully charged or bring an external charger.
