TFest returns to Pflugerville, Texas with a full weekend dedicated to board games, RPGs, and tabletop gaming. Thanks to strong community support, the upcoming edition expands into a larger space with more games, roomier vendor areas, and additional events. Round Rock Summer Arts Fest is a new flagship arts celebration in the center of Downtown Round Rock, presented by the City of Round Rock Arts and Culture. The festival brings together visual art, live music, dance, and hands-on creativity across multiple downtown spaces. Visitors will find 100 art vendor booths and 30 bands and dance performances alongside entertainment areas and a cooling station. Features include the Bluebonnet Beer Company Beer Garden, the Ghost Pepper Glass Blowing Area, and the Texas Society of Sculptors’ Sculpture Village, plus a print area, face painting and balloons, food vendors, and participation from the Round Rock Public Library and the City Arts Center. Exhibitions showcase the “Ruby Sunstone Pineapple” art sculpture by Chihuly, a Chihuly exhibit, works by Ziesook You, and the Central Texas Pastel Society exhibit. Creative activities and demos continue with Round Rock Community Clay, the Studio at the City Arts Center, and the Picasso STEAM Makers Area. Festival programming appears throughout the City Arts Center, the Downtown Paseo, Main Street, Liberty Street, Prete Plaza, and Sheppard Street/Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way, highlighting the people, creativity, and community that define Round Rock.

At The Jungle Movement Academy, kids ages 6 to 15 can enjoy an evening packed with active games, from dodgeball and tug of war to ninja tag and additional ninja challenges. Pizza and a movie are part of the experience, offering a fun night for participants and a break for caregivers. This rodeo is officially sanctioned by the Cowboys Pro Rodeo Association and the United Professional Rodeo Association. A portion of proceeds benefits the Sammy Wallace Memorial Foundation, which supports education in the live entertainment industry through Mississippi State University. Mutton Bustin' sign-ups take place on the day of the event at a table on the North concourse and are first come, first served. The entry fee is $35 per contestant, and participants must weigh 55 pounds or less. Capacity is limited, with 10 spots available during the event on Friday. On Saturday, up to 65 contestants are accepted for the pre-show and 10 more during the event. Ticket options include Public Onsale, an Early Bird Special, and group sales.

Scott Mentzer Pool hosts the season’s last Pfloating Movie Night with a poolside screening of Zootopia 2. Enjoy a relaxed, family-friendly evening with plenty of laughs and adventure on the big screen. Admission is $7 per person or $4 with proof of same-day pool entry, and children age 2 and under are free. Each ticket includes one bag of popcorn. Guests are welcome to bring open-bottom inflatables, pool noodles, picnic blankets, and chairs, and there will be snacks and drinks available for purchase on-site. Trailside Market brings an open-air shopping experience to Memorial Park along the scenic trail in Round Rock. Explore seasonal produce, plants, handmade goods, original art, baked treats, preserves, and other local creations, with a rotating mix of vendors sharing what they grow and make. Enjoy a relaxed stroll through the park as you browse and discover something new each visit. Vendor selection and coordination are handled exclusively by the Round Rock Parks and Recreation team, and no third-party organizations manage vendors for this market.

Settle in for a leisurely trip through rail history aboard the Bertram Flyer. The journey begins in Cedar Park and winds through the Texas Hill Country, crossing Short Creek Canyon and the 300-foot South San Gabriel trestle before returning to Cedar Park in restored vintage railcars from the 1930s to the 1950s pulled by a diesel locomotive. A cosplay theme encourages riders to bring favorite characters to life with wigs, props, and photo-ready poses, no matter the fandom. The trip spans 44 miles round trip and includes a 15-minute layover at the historic 1912 Bertram Depot. Beer, wine, and mimosas are available for purchase in the Cedar Park Car, adding a chance to sip while taking in the sights and sounds of classic rail travel. This ride is open to all ages. All sales are final.

Drop in for a free, family-friendly open house at Armstrong Community Music School’s Round Rock studio. You’ll be able to meet the teachers, explore lesson options, and learn about private music instruction for students of all ages and experience levels. There will be studio tours, time for questions about lessons and enrollment, and instructors available across a variety of instruments and musical styles.

An indoor swap at Pflugerville Community Church centers on puzzles and welcomes participants even if they do not bring any. It takes place in Building 2 toward the back of the property, and you can look for cars to find the spot. To keep things organized, seal puzzle boxes with tape or put the pieces in zipper-style bags. Volunteers are appreciated to take two or three extra puzzles home for temporary storage until the next swap. For questions, speak with someone wearing a swap shirt.

Enjoy casual Rummikub games in a friendly setting. The game is easy to learn and fun to play, and players of all ages are welcome.
