On Pitch Performing Arts INCHands On Gluten-Free Tortilla & Chocolate Cake
Roll up your sleeves for a hands-on baking class centered on gluten-free and allergy-friendly techniques. Learn to make soft, flexible tortillas and a rich, bakery-style chocolate cake while exploring the purpose of key gluten-free ingredients so you can confidently adapt favorite recipes for allergies, preferences, or better from-scratch results. The instruction covers mixing, shaping, and cooking tortillas with tips for softness, bendability, and storage, plus how to build a moist, tender cake with reliable structure and flavor. You will also explore do-it-yourself baking mixes and how to scale recipes to small-batch and single-serving sizes without sacrificing texture, a helpful approach for weeknights, smaller households, or testing new ideas with less waste. Every participant makes tortillas and a chocolate cake, then leaves with guidance for converting recipes into home-ready mixes and single-serving versions.
