Tall grass, uneven footing, and wet ground may be encountered and could be challenging for younger children and some seniors. Anyone who prefers a shorter experience is welcome to turn back at any point. For the protection of sensitive wetland habitat, dogs are not permitted. When snow covers the preserve, the route is traveled on snowshoes, which can be rented from the EcoCenter for $2.50 for members and $5 for nonmembers. Please come prepared for the weather. In spring, summer, and fall, wear sturdy shoes or boots and long pants, bring water, and pack sun protection such as sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat. In winter, bring snow gear including boots, snow pants, hat, gloves, coat, sunglasses, and water.
