Starry Nights @ the Plaza brings live music, community safety outreach, and a lineup of food trucks to Centennial Plaza. Pop-O-GoGo takes the stage, the Public Safety Committee presents Night Out Against Crime activities, and Food Truck League vendors offer meals and treats. Admission is free, a relaxed way for friends and families to spend time together on the plaza.

Presented by Reggae Rise Up, Pepper and The Movement bring the High Tide Summer Tour to The Union Event Center with special guest Joe Samba. This all ages concert features live sets from these artists.

Night two at The State Room features James McMurtry with BettySoo. This 21-and-over show centers on McMurtry’s character-driven songwriting and eye for telling detail. His recent work includes The Black Dog and the Wandering Boy on New West Records, co-produced with Don Dixon and featuring contributions from Sarah Jarosz, Charlie Sexton, Bonnie Whitmore, and Bukka Allen, alongside longtime bandmates Cornbread on bass, Tim Holt on guitar, and Daren Hess on drums, with BettySoo on vocals. Vivid stories unfold over roots-tinged arrangements from an artist who spends much of the year on the road.

Murray Theater presents a tribute to KISS featuring four veteran performers who bring the band’s iconic personas to life. James Seda appears as The Demon, Erik Winger as The Catman, James Cullen as The Space Ace, and John Carlazzo as The Starchild. The group has been recognized as a top finalist in a worldwide KISS tribute competition and received an invitation to audition for NBC’s America’s Got Talent. Drawing on decades of stage experience, they aim to deliver a show that resonates with longtime fans and newcomers alike. Standard tickets are $30 and include all fees. All sales are final, with no refunds or exchanges. Tickets are available online through Showpass, in person at the Murray Parks and Recreation Office, and at the theater box office before the performance. Seating is fully reserved, and purchases are limited to a maximum of eight tickets per transaction. This is not a performance, not a formal lesson, and not a stiff networking event. It offers a friendly, low-pressure space to be around music and get to know the Wandering Bards community.

Robopocalypse: The Musical takes the stage courtesy of Puppeteers for Fears, an Oregon-based comedy troupe that crafts original horror and science fiction rock and roll musicals performed with puppets. What began as a one-night Halloween cabaret in 2015 grew into an ongoing project, with the group creating and performing multiple original shows about everything from supernatural creatures to killer robots to solitary sasquatches. The production blends puppetry, video, and live music. Attendees will be seated for this show.

Salt Lake City’s summer Dance Nights return to the Gallivan Center plaza with the 2026 lineup. This season adds more dates, new bands, and a few new styles of dance, bringing an expanded mix of music and movement to the plaza.
