    Somatic Tango Classes

    132 S 800 W, Salt Lake City · verified Aug 2
    See details

A new Somatic Tango series is beginning for dancers who love to move and also want to understand what is happening in the body while they dance. Whether your background is salsa, swing, ballroom, or another social form, the emphasis shifts from collecting patterns to exploring why a partnership can feel effortless with one person and challenging with another. The work focuses on how movement organizes around axis, balance, muscle tone, and attentive awareness within connection. It prioritizes body intelligence before choreography, highlighting how subtle internal adjustments can transform what appears on the outside. Dancing becomes clearer, heavy moments feel lighter, and connection becomes something you can actively shape rather than guess at. It is designed for dancers who care as much about the mechanics of presence as they do about steps. Enrollment is open.
