Hailing from Washington’s North Cascades, he is a country solo act, a singer and songwriter who plays multiple instruments. He grew up in a secluded mountain town and traces family roots to some of the earliest homesteaders around Lake Chelan. Expect soulful, banjo-forward playing and fresh interpretations of country and Americana favorites. He tours the Northwestern United States full time, appearing at farms, festivals, wineries, songwriter gatherings, and benefit events. His musical touchstones include Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, and Sturgill Simpson.

Stay Cool Saturday Public Skate

Cool off with a public skating session for all ages and skill levels. Glide across open ice with family and friends and stay active in a comfortably chilled setting. Whether it is a first time on skates or another lap around the rink, this session is open to all. Admission is $12, skate rentals are $5, and Red Skate Assists are available for $5 to provide added stability. A refreshing way to spend the afternoon on the ice.

Date Night

Make date night creative with an interactive woodworking class focused on crafting custom kitchen utensils such as spatulas and serving tools. Over two and a half hours, participants select a template, cut the shape with saws, then sand and finish their pieces with food-safe oil. No prior experience is needed and all materials are provided. Everyone leaves with finished utensils and memories of building them together. After the workshop, the outing continues with a stop at Yonder for a cider. The fee is $70. Enrollment is limited to eight people, and advance registration is required.

18th Annual Falling Cow Festival with The LakeBoys

An annual country wine celebration packed with attractions. Live music from the LakeCOWboys sets the tone, attendees can test their skills on a mechanical bull, and line dancing keeps the floor moving. Barbecue will be available, with Falling Cow Wine in the spotlight. Kids activities and farm animals add family appeal, and there will be games, raffles, and prizes throughout. Admission is $20, or $10 for wine club members.

Stars and Stripes Auction

At The Cider Press in Manson, the Stars and Stripes Auction brings people together to support the Manson 4th of July Fireworks Show. Organized in partnership by the Manson Chamber of Commerce and the Manson Fire Department, the evening features dinner, games and raffles, and both a silent and live auction. Special guest auctioneers John Curley and Ry Curley will guide the bidding. Funds raised help keep Independence Day fireworks shining over Lake Chelan for residents and visitors. The event highlights community spirit while backing a cherished local tradition.

2026 Dual Sport Ride

Riders can look forward to the Dirty Face Dual Sport Ride in the Lake Wenatchee area, centered on off-road adventure, community, and fun. Registration is open. A mandatory riders meeting takes place before the ride begins, and the ride starts immediately after. Early registration includes an event t-shirt and supper. Event sweatshirts are available while supplies last, with the option to pre-order during registration to secure one. A second ride card can be added for an additional $25, and Lake Wenatchee Rec Club members receive that second card at no cost as a membership benefit. Camping is offered, though spaces are limited and tend to fill quickly. The event also welcomes sponsorships and prize donations.

This clinic offers a two-day introduction to Mountain Trail and Working Equitation. Participants will learn the basics of Working Equitation, including ease of handling and judging strategies. The second day focuses on a 50-obstacle mountain trail course, covering different levels of showing and backcountry skills for you and your horse. Horse paddocks and camping are included.

Now in its fifth year, this gathering of European car enthusiasts pays tribute to the original Leavenworth Drive, often likened to a Pacific Northwest version of Wörthersee. Participants make a drive through the Northern Cascade Mountains to the Bavarian-style town of Leavenworth to enjoy local brews, Bavarian inspired cuisine, and a wide range of European automobiles. All European makes are welcome, including Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, BMW, and Mercedes, among others. Attendees are asked to respect the community and its residents by keeping noise down, avoiding revving in town, not speeding on any street, and refraining from two-stepping. Please follow local laws and pay for parking when required. The focus is on celebrating a shared passion for European cars while keeping everyone safe, thoughtful, and considerate.

AVSA 2026 Super Draft Weekend

Softball takes center stage at Walla Walla Point Park in Wenatchee with a Super Draft weekend that raises funds for A.V.S.A. leagues. While it is not a USSSA qualifier for points, games will follow USSSA tournament rules. Hosted by the Wenatchee Apple Valley Softball Association, all proceeds benefit A.V.S.A. The format features men’s and women’s draft play on Saturday and a coed draft on Sunday. Capacity is set for up to 180 players on Saturday and 120 players on Sunday, with an emphasis on including a wide range of skill levels. If team numbers are high, play may expand to Hydro Park for access to seven total fields. The player fee is $35, payable to the official A.V.S.A. Venmo account. Coaches are needed for both days. Bring a blanket or a chair and your biggest astronomy questions as they explore our orderly solar system and the dramatic behavior of massive celestial objects. Each gathering in this series is unique and shaped by the curiosity and imagination of those attending. Depending on wind, the program may feature telescope viewing or a guided constellation tour. Plans can change or be canceled due to weather, so check the WVAC event calendar for updates, and if cancellation is necessary you will be contacted no later than two hours beforehand. Dress for cool, potentially breezy conditions. The program is free, but a Discover Pass or a $10 daily parking permit is required. A Discover Pass may also be available through the NCW Library of Things. WVAC’s flagship community star party at Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery welcomes everyone, from the simply curious to seasoned amateurs. There is no registration, and attendance is free. Optional donations support Friends of the Hatchery in funding a Sky Quality Meter to help measure changes in light pollution. Bring a telescope for hands-on guidance or to share views, or come without one and explore the night sky through a variety of member instruments. Look for red lanterns marking member telescopes, and feel free to ask what each scope is viewing. The evening fosters connections among local astronomers and offers space to ask anything from big astronomy questions to practical advice on choosing a telescope. WVAC volunteers greet attendees on arrival and explain how the event flows. Arriving at the beginning helps with introductions, and you can stay as long as you like. Park in the hatchery lot outside the gate and avoid driving beyond it unless you have prior permission, for example if you are unloading a telescope. The observing area is just past the main building, a short walk from the lot along the main roadway, and identified by a red, illuminated sign. To preserve night vision, use red light only and keep white lights for emergencies. Dress for the weather and possible wind, and consider insect repellent. Restrooms may be available in the main building when staff are present. The star party depends on clear skies and may be canceled due to inclement weather.
