Women’s: the Gathering Night
A night hosted by Halle is for women who want to learn how to play Magic or connect with a new group for casual games. The focus is on learning, playing, and meeting fellow players in a welcoming setting.
Community CPR Class
Learn essential, lifesaving skills in a free CPR class presented by Cascade Medical’s Emergency Medical Services team. Held in the community room at the Leavenworth Fire Station, the course welcomes participants ages 8 through adult and focuses on cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques that use chest compressions to keep blood circulating when the heart has stopped. Participants also receive an introduction to automated external defibrillators and how these devices can help restore a heartbeat. Instruction reflects the latest updates from the American Heart Association. Starting CPR quickly can double or even triple the chances of survival from cardiac arrest. Class size is limited to 20 people. To reserve a spot, email cpr@cascademedical.org. Another session is planned later in the year.
Leavenworth Fire Station Community RoomLine Dancing!
Line dancing is surging in popularity across the country, and this session offers a chance to learn routines set to popular country and club music. An instructor cues each step while the group moves together, making it easy to follow along. The drop-in rate is $10.
Studio 509 DancePop Culture Jeopardy
Teams compete in a pop culture Jeopardy-style trivia game with fast buzzing and quick thinking. The format gets an extra competitive edge throughout April. There is a $2 buy-in per person, and the winning team takes the pot.
