Mumsy is a free peer support circle for mothers with babies from birth to age three. Its name highlights the strong bonds that tend to form among participants and nods to the chrysanthemum, a symbol of new beginnings and resilience during times of change. The group offers a warm, judgment free setting where mothers connect through shared experience, with monthly themes guiding facilitated conversation rather than advice giving. To support those without childcare, a supervised on site playgroup for children over one is provided in a nearby kid friendly room with age appropriate activities led by a trusted teacher while the discussion takes place close by. Sessions are held at Discovery Lab. Group guidelines are available to review in advance.

A free community evening for women at Epic Motion Dance Studio offers a welcoming space to get active, make new connections, and explore a range of dance and fitness options tailored for beginners. Try short, sample classes and demonstrations that shift with instructor availability, with possible styles spanning pole, aerial, chair, heels, twerk, hula hoop dance, Swing Out solo swing, the Pound drumstick workout, and a ballet-inspired flow. Between sessions there is time to mingle, look around the studio, speak with instructors, and connect with others. No prior experience is required, and you can participate as much or as little as you like. Offered in partnership with 509 Nutrition & Diabetes Care, it begins with a peer-led conversation that shares lived experience, practical self-care ideas, and brief educational insights from the 509 team. The second portion features gentle, low-impact movement with adaptations for every mobility level, including chair-based exercises, balance work, and light strength activities. Participants are encouraged to bring water, comfortable clothing and shoes, and any glucose supplies or fast-acting carbohydrates they may need.
