Bite of the 'Burg is a lively street festival presented by the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce. Created to welcome new and returning Central Washington University students to Ellensburg, it fills the area with local vendors offering tasty bites, giveaways and plenty of interactive fun. Visitors can explore booths, sample flavors and connect with the community and downtown businesses. Food vendors, CWU organizations and affiliates, and nearby street-side businesses can participate through the event’s application process, with certain participants eligible for a promo code prior to applying. Support for this year’s celebration comes from WSECU as the title sponsor, U.S. Bank and Puget Sound Energy as Foodie Fanatic sponsors, along with Central Washington University and Coca-Cola.

A weekly bike night brings riders together to enjoy food and drinks, mingle with fellow motorcyclists, and show off their machines. Whether you ride a cruiser, sportbike, enduro, or dirt bike, the meet is open to every make and model. It is an easy way to meet new riding partners, swap go-to routes, and connect with riders in the area. Please be courteous to the venue, and keep the parking lot free of antics.

A weekly ukulele gathering offers a relaxed strumming session, with the option to arrange a private one-on-one lesson with volunteer instructor Sandy. Group time centers on making music together, while individual lessons provide tailored guidance. Advance registration is required for private lessons.

The focus is on great cars, great food, and supporting local businesses as a new season gets underway. Minimum Wage Band fires up a high-energy night of classic rock covers, moving from timeless riffs to newer favorites with a full-throttle sound. The band introduces its new frontman, Dave Chavez, formerly of Moon Daddy Band, bringing a fresh spark to a lineup known for dance-friendly sets that keep feet moving. Expect big bass, tight grooves, and singalong moments as the group spans decades of rock and roll hits, creating a lively space for rock fans to soak in the music together.

Take part in Salsa and Bachata classes in Wenatchee with social dancing as part of the experience. New dancers are welcome, and those with some prior knowledge can opt for the intermediate level or attend both. The drop-in rate is $15. A partner is not necessary because partners rotate during instruction, and couples who arrive together may stay together. Drinks are available at the on-site bar.

Now in its third year, the Community Leadership Summit celebrates local leadership while bringing perspectives from internationally recognized artists and spotlighting performances by hometown talent. Karen Francis-McWhite returns as the opening speaker, and Mary Lambert will deliver the featured keynote. Some performance and speaking opportunities remain available. Tickets are not yet on sale. The summit will be held at the Numerica Performing Arts Center.

Hosted by the Friesian Horse Club of the Northwest, the 2026 Washington State Keuring is planned in a central location to better serve participants from a wide geographic area. The goal is to make attending more convenient for those traveling from different parts of the region.

Brittany Jean brings her folk songwriting to McGlinn's Public House with a set that travels from sunlit sunflower fields and the Irish coast to stories of free spirits and a quiet cabin up north, all shared with a heartfelt touch. Based in a small apple town along the Columbia River in Washington, she has taken her music far beyond home with appearances at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, Tennessee, and an opening turn for Three Dog Night in New York City. She has released six studio albums and an EP, all recorded in Music City, and from her sixth album the songs Golden Hour, Lightfoot, and Dear Mr. Green were finalists in the International Acoustic Music Awards. Work on a seventh album is already underway.
