Tuesday Fun: The Mammoth Hunters (kids & families)

Geared toward kids and families, this hands-on Ice Age adventure at Hedberg Public Library invites participants to imagine tracking mammoths across ancient Wisconsin. Explore a museum-quality exhibit featuring large predator skulls from the Ice Age, functional replicas, real artifacts, and a complete Stone Age hunter gatherer survival kit. Learn about tools and techniques such as spears, friction fire, and music created with ancient instruments. Registration is not required.

Sky Carp Corgi Race

ABC Supply Stadium sets the stage as 5BAR and the Beloit Sky Carp team up for a playful corgi dash filled with tiny sprints and happy tail wags. Entering a corgi comes with a complimentary drink token from 5BAR and the possibility of taking home a medal. After the race, the Sky Carp game welcomes dogs, so the fun can continue. Come a bit early to visit 5BAR's pop up bar that opens half an hour before the start and sample Sky Carp inspired drinks.

Free Food Pantry at New Life

New Life Food Pantry offers free groceries to anyone in the community at New Life Assembly of God Church. Service takes place on Tuesdays during pantry hours. The pantry uses a drive-up format where guests line up in their vehicles and food is brought to them, and walk-ups are accommodated for those without a car. A photo ID is required, and there is no need to be a Rock County resident or provide proof of income. Guests may come every week. Each distribution includes a mix of items that may include fresh produce, dairy such as milk and eggs, breads and meats, plus canned vegetables, soups, pasta, rice, and other frozen or shelf-stable goods.
