Jake Reynolds and Shiny Shiny Black

Cargo Music presents a performance featuring American artist and producer Jake Reynolds alongside Shiny Shiny Black, the husband and wife team of Nate and Amber Butler from Goshen, Indiana. Reynolds brings a boundary-pushing approach shaped by early years on guitar in Midland, Michigan, where playing became a channel for emotion and a path to devoted songwriting. Shiny Shiny Black offers a coffeehouse-tinged rock and roll sound that helps audiences feel at home, blending classic guitar tones with close harmonies and songs that carry nuance without weight. Their music has drawn comparisons to artists like U2 and Tom Petty. The duo’s 2023 release, Reverberations, earned Folk Album and Folk Single of the Year at Indiana’s 2025 Naptones Music Awards, and their track Reverie was an IAMA finalist in 2024. Beyond their recordings, they co-founded Nimble Wit Productions with clients that include HarperCollins, Magnolia Network, and artists on Sony and New West Records. All Cargo shows are pay-what-you-can, and every contribution goes directly to the artists.

FMBATN at St. Dennis Fest!

Frank Martin Busch & the Names return to Madison's east side for St. Dennis Fest with a set that celebrates community and leans into a playful festival spirit. Their music mixes heartland twang with modern grit, pairing alt twang textures with stories that dig deep. What started as a side project has grown into a full-force band built on four years of shared miles and a well of original songs. Frank Martin Busch, named Isthmus Magazine's Fave Singer/Songwriter two years running, leads with vivid writing influenced by Turnpike Troubadours, Tyler Childers, Johnny Cash, and Willie Nelson. The Names tighten up on drums, bass, guitar, and fiddle, weaving harmonies and instrumentation that lift every chorus.
