The 2nd Annual Mopar Showdown returns to Rock Falls Raceway with two full days dedicated to Mopar power. The lineup grows with more drag racing classes, larger cash payouts, additional swap meet spaces, expanded food options, and an improved show layout for racers, show cars, vendors, and fans alike. On track and across the grounds, highlights include all-Mopar drag racing, a two-day 29-class car show with trophies and class awards, the 3S Challenge where drivers start, swerve, and stop for cash prizes, and a Burnout Contest offering bigger prizes. The event also features a vendor midway, a swap meet and car corral, family activities, celebrity guests to be announced, a cruise and barbecue, food trucks, door prizes, and more surprises on the way. Every corner of Mopar enthusiasm is welcome, from Dodge, Chrysler, Ram, and Jeep to Plymouth and AMC. Pre-registration for the car show, drag racing, and the swap meet will be available, with updates and announcements shared as the event approaches.

Everwood Farmstead Foundation presents an artist workshop on podcasting led by audio producer, editor, storyteller, and artist Julie Censullo of Minneapolis. The session guides participants from an initial idea to a clear plan for their show, covering the fundamentals of recording, editing, and publishing while exploring how to make the most of audio as a storytelling medium. Attendees will also practice techniques for authentic, engaging interviews and leave with the practical tools to launch a podcast. Censullo’s experience spans interview programs, documentaries, and audio drama. Her work includes hosting and producing Choosing, producing the Moth StorySLAM in the Twin Cities, editing the Minnesota arts, culture, and history program MinneCulture, and serving as a line and field producer with Twin Cities PBS. Her audio art has been featured at festivals across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, and Lithuania, and she spent a week at Everwood developing sound design for her spooky audio fiction series Out Cold. Participants should bring a picnic lunch, comfortable clothing suited to the weather, at least one podcast idea, a laptop, and if possible a recording device such as a tape recorder, a USB microphone, or a smartphone with an audio recording app like Voice Memo or Voice Recorder. Each ticket includes a small booking fee to support the ticketing platform, and each transaction includes a charge that covers credit card processing. Tickets are transferable, not refundable.
