The BB Cafe Express-o mobile coffee trailer serves espresso drinks, coffee, refreshers, boba drinks, lemonade, and bakery items at Rib Mountain Municipal Center as part of the Rib Mountain Market. Shoppers can pick up a beverage or treat while shopping locally.

City of Wausau residents can drop off large items that do not fit in regular curbside garbage or recycling. Proof of residency is required. To help keep traffic moving, bring only items that cannot go in your weekly pickup, arrive prepared to back your vehicle or trailer in correctly, and remove all straps or tie-downs before reaching the front gate. Carpooling with friends or neighbors is encouraged to ease congestion and shorten wait times. Many items are accepted at no cost, including furniture such as tables, chairs, sofas, dressers, and mattresses or box springs, as well as stoves, washers, dryers, dishwashers, microwaves, grills, yard equipment with gas and oil removed like snow blowers, lawn mowers, weed trimmers or edgers, and rototillers, plus scrap metal. Some materials carry a fee, payable in cash only. Tires cost $5 each up to 20 inches and $10 each over 20 inches. Electronics are accepted at $0.49 per pound, including computers, faxes, printers, TVs, small appliances like coffee makers and vacuum cleaners, stereos, and most items with a cord. Certain appliances have a $25 fee each, including dehumidifiers, air conditioners, refrigerators, and freezers. Working medical equipment is also being collected at no cost in partnership with Good News Project’s Health Equipment Lending Program (HELP Closet). Accepted items include bath or shower chairs, rolling walkers, wheelchairs, crutches, canes, toilet seat risers, commodes, bed rails, bathtub grab bars, and knee walkers or scooters. Some items are not accepted, including light bulbs, smoke or carbon monoxide detectors, batteries, paint, chemicals, waste oil, antifreeze, construction or remodeling debris such as insulation and fiberglass, roofing material, lead, fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides, compressed gas cylinders, and explosives. Medications should be taken to a local police department for proper disposal.

Hope In Motion 2026 gathers the community at Marathon County Park for connection, remembrance, and meaningful action in support of mental health across North Central Wisconsin. Organized by NAMI Northwoods, the event includes a walk and raffle drawings to raise awareness, challenge stigma, strengthen suicide prevention, and stand with individuals and families affected by mental illness. Funds raised remain local to sustain free NAMI Northwoods services, including support groups, education, presentations, advocacy, and suicide awareness initiatives. Coffee will be available for purchase from the Caffeine Cruiser. Participants can register, fundraise, volunteer, or sponsor, and anyone who raises at least $100 will receive an official Hope In Motion 2026 t-shirt.

Take part in a 1-on-1 standard format tournament built for quick, decisive matches. Each pairing is best of one, and one game win determines the match. Matches run 30 minutes, with 5 extra minutes reserved for additional turns if necessary. The entry fee is $10 per player, and registration is handled through the Bandai TCG+ app.
