Costumes are encouraged, and campsites are limited.

Settle in for a second Halloween weekend filled with spooky fun. Friday features a Friday Night Fish Fry. Saturday brings pumpkin carving, trick or treating, and costumes for anyone who missed the first weekend or wants another round. The canteen will be open on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Country music icon Martina McBride takes the stage at Crystal Grand Music Theatre in Wisconsin Dells. This is a continuous, weekend-long experience with the freedom to engage at your own pace. Participants may remain on the field the entire time, step out when needed, and re-enter play without being required to stay in character nonstop. The flow begins with check-in, chrono, and briefings, then opens into LARP-focused field time for establishing camps and control points, creating hideouts, exploring, and mapping the Zone. Full gameplay includes vendors, evolving storylines, NPC interactions, and faction warfare, with anomaly areas regularly refreshed with artifacts. When vendor and admin services pause overnight, the 1000 Rads Bar continues to provide medical support and ammunition. In 2018 she took her solo show across Midwest venues, and by 2019 she joined the Midwest CMO and launched The Holler, a well liked regional band. The tournament is run through the American Cornhole League with a 420-team cap. An ACL profile is required to register, and directors may move participants if a selected division does not match ACL or Scoreholio ratings. Attendees under 21 are permitted but must remain in the ballroom and hotel areas and not enter the casino. Live music is part of the fun, with singer songwriter Bree Morgan scheduled to perform at various times and locations, with a detailed set list to be shared closer to the event. Competition offerings cover a wide range of skill levels and formats. Women’s, Seniors and Juniors play double-elimination singles and include short five-round warm-up games that do not affect results. The registration fee is $250 and includes all activities, a private hotel room, and all meals. A nonrefundable $50 deposit secures a place, and the remaining $200 is due one week before the retreat. Thanks to donor support, all attendees receive a scholarship that lowers the typical cost of participation, which is usually about $1,600. Plastic baler twine is not recycled through this program, but it may be used to tie loose plastic into tight, manageable bundles. Bale wrap and net wrap or mesh are incompatible with the accepted materials and should be landfilled, so do not include them in bundles or supersacks. Loose plastics will not be taken. To support successful recycling, all plastics must be clean and dry and brought either in Recapture Bags or securely tied with twine. Recapture Bags are available from the Sauk County Land Resources and Environment Department, with up to five provided at no cost each year to each Sauk County farm. Each bag holds about 200 pounds of plastic.

As a teenager he won first place at the 2002 Stairway to Stardom concert with the rock group Concrete Rose, and later earned the Louis Armstrong Award along with Most Outstanding Jazz Soloist as part of the Escalon High School Jazz Ensemble. He studied early music under John Schneiderman at the University of California, Irvine, completing an MFA while performing with guitar ensembles at UCI, OCC, and IVC, as well as the Cal State Fullerton Orchestra, all while staying active in blues, jazz, and folk communities. Since then he has worked full time as a musician with an extensive international schedule, opening for Shine Delphi and for Cowboy Diplomacy, making a noted appearance during SXSW 2021 at Native Hostel before Dave Chappelle, and opening at the Crystal Grand Music Theater in Wisconsin Dells for Scott Stapp in 2022 and Gary Allen in 2023. Predominantly a solo act today, he enjoys collaborating and often presents one-man band arrangements. His work includes composing and sound design for screen, founding the bands HIYA, Ellenwood Kitchen Club, and The Burps, and teaching guitar and music for the South Orange County Community College District. Now based in southern Wisconsin, he has completed three full-length albums and focuses on guitar, mandolin, and banjo transcriptions that span early Americana through contemporary songs.

Boomtown Saloon opened in 2015 to bring a country music bar to the Wisconsin Dells area. Today it pairs Nashville inspired dishes with a steady country soundtrack, and live music fills the room every Saturday night. Payton Eilers steps to the stage with experience that began at age 10, encouraged by family and trusted teachers. She appears at venues throughout the region and delivers a varied mix of covers, moving from the Lumineers and Shinedown to Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty, and Kasey Musgraves, along with a selection of her own songs. As a singer and songwriter, she is investing heart into her craft and working toward recording her first album.
